My screen is all black now when I turn on the pc so that's pretty much all the information I can give you, and the fact that there we're some weird graphic glitches and a window saying ''nv_4 display stopped working'' or something like that... I always looked at the bright side of things whenever CCP did bad or something, but now, all that is gone... -------------------- ding ding! Wrangler: Hello and w ding ding! If this is indeed what you are doing, then sir, I implore you to take whats left of your PC. Take it outside, and toss it in front of a semi, because you sir, fail at PC diagnostics. It sounds like one of two things. either your vid card DIED, and it would only be a coincidence. You will never convince me that the EVE upgrade did it. Or your drivers are corrupt, and you just need to re install your vid drivers.

The fact they YOU are the only one this has happened to is absolute proof that it's CCP's fault tbh.
JadeMako Aliastra	Posted - 2009.03.11 21:46:00 - [12] Hey bro I got a similar problem in my laptop about the nv_4 display driver thing and then my screen went well crazy. don't listen to all the rich kids here, i know your probably waiting for windows 7 or a recession proof job before getting a new lappie looks like trade will be all you can do in eve from now on. if you manage to get anything started at the login screen i found if i press (ESC) and put all the graphic settings to the lowest possible (why is this not done by default??) i can actually log in to be greeted by disappearing ships and stations, even interiors. all i can see is the lights on my ship, ie no hull or anything.

If you can't even get the BIOS screen this indicates it's the screen that's broken. Have you tried the screen with a different computer?

Happens mostly with old drivers or incompatible drivers with the game. If it keeps happening (with updated drivers) activate logserver and file a bug report. The OP however has fried a hardware card probably by using an outdated driver or overclocked his card and then go whine to the company that made the program he last run. Could have happened to him when he opened msn as well. ---------------------------------- None of yet!

And as said file a proper bug report with logserver file. You can find the logserver in your main eve folder normally. But then again the support website for eve is a bit overloaded. ---------------------------------- None of yet!
