Edited by: Faidan Atco on 12/03/2009 00:49:34 CCP *finally* made some headway into battling lag (even tho big fleetfights still had its issues) and THEN this.
I hope this is just post-patch-day blues because otherwise the hardware is seriously inadequate for this.
/steps off soapbox
Love the w-space btw.. ;)

It is obviously a software issue unless they managed to trash all their hardware during a software upgrade...
And I am sure a complex server cluster like EVE can't be fixed 'just so' either. -------- Ideas for: Mining

*BUMP*
I have a K1 Killer, and I still have horrendous lag. Every time CCP changes something, they make the game unplayable for everyone.

This lag could in no way be induced by the fact that there are thousands of people downloading the largest expansion CCP has ever released for EVE.

The patch is distributed via a CDN - Limelight Networks to be exact. Nothing to do with the EVE servers. --- Have a rawr on me. |

I was lagging in a remote system soon after server came up but it seemed to fix itself later on. Havent had any issues as of late. |

I've noticed in past with past expansion releases that there is usually 3-4 days of bad latency. I generally avoid missions and dangerous stuff in this timeframe.
In essence probably will improve once everyone has finished the dl's and patching.
Thoughts expressed are mine and mine alone. They do not necessarily reflect my alliances thoughts.

That's right CCP! We DEMAND that you push the "fix lag" button on all of your servers NOW! Or we will all ragequit with a furious vengeance!
I'm serious. I know you have that button. ---------------------------------
