I think a ROFLMAO is at place here.
It's like asking the pope about the bible; nice book, when ya gonna publish the sequel?
This guide is awesome and huge.. asking for 'the rest' is almost insulting
I just want to read whats left -- I loved the hell out of the guide and knowing there's more on the way without it being out is killing me. I meant no insult any more than eagerly awaiting the release of a new book.

I'm on the same page. This guide is absolutely amazing. I can't tell you how many times I've gone back and read it, and now again for the manuf/research portion. Excellent guide with great tips. I'm constantly linking it in help channel too as the definitive guide. All that being said, I am anxiously awaiting the remaining pieces. Expect a nice hit of isk your way when its released Halada. Thanks a ton amigo.

Unstickied and added to the resource thread. If you haven't added this to the EVElopedia I highly suggest it. It would be an easy place for you to update and maintain this post as mining information is updated.

Edited by: Mike C on 05/12/2009 19:20:34 An aqauntance of mine has recently pointed out to me that your guide lists the covetor as the second most effecient practical mining ship in eve. This is not the case. The Rokh is the second most effecient practical mining ship, and here I will prove this.
Firstly, I am using one single common faction module, a Caldari Navy Co-Processor. If you were to correct the guide's description is listing without faction deadspace or officer modules, then it will not.
Rokh: 8x Modulated Deep Core Miner II (Veldspar Mining Crystal II) 4x Mining Laser Upgrade II Caldari Navy Co-Processor
This yields 463.17521578125m¦ of ore per laser per three minutes, which can be rounded to 463.1m¦ due to minimum ore sizes. Equated out, this yields 1234.9m¦ per three minutes, or 20.59m¦/sec. The following Covetor (your fit) yields only 1233.9m¦ per three minutes, or 20.57m¦/sec.
Covetor: 3x Modulated Strip Miner II (Veldspar Mining Crystal II) Mining Laser Upgrade II
Due to the extremely common prevalence and relative inexpense of this single faction module, I would think it worthy of annotation, just my two cents (or one m¦, whichever fits).
- Mike

What is the absolute maximum "specialty crystal mining amount" number in the show info window counting all things that are taken into account in its formula? I mean I would assume the implants might show here, but reductions to cycle time from links may not?

I hope to the gods of Kobol I shall not be beheaded for posting here after such a long time. Obviously you noticed I'm a gazillion year late on releasing the rest of the promised sections.
So what happened?
The **** hit the fan brosefs. I myself could be construed as someone doing fantastic and healthy (although I really need to hit the gym again and get rid of that overweight I let grow on me), my family has had less luck. Some distant family members have been dropping like flies in the last year, and now evil and and ill-willed cancer has tried to invade both my parents at the same time. Not to worry, that ***** is getting her ass handed to her, but family and other real-life commitments kept me away from EVE...
Not to mention it became so ****ing boring with all that was happening, the politics and drama of 0.0 just were too much, so I preferred to play other games when I had the time (like epic SimCity 4...). It's a shame CCP ****ed up the servers with Dominion (not to mention the logo submission I did for our alliance, on Jan 6 2009, still hasn't gone through a year later... after something like four submissions...NO COMMENT!), but the recent development in our corner of space, mangled with better health for the family and and some more free time, I an planning a slow (and surely temporary) comeback into EVE, and I'd like to finish the guide once and for all...
I can't remember if I had made an announcement about the German translation, but I know the guide is also being translated to Russian, Italian and Spanish, so whenever and if ever these are done, I will add the links to the first post. No ETA yet, I'm trying to see what else CCP has changed (or not) so I don't have to re-write two entire sections again.
I hope you guys are doing well and rocking the 'roids.
Have a happy (and healthy) year 2010, for you and your family! ★ LSJV now recruiting ★ |

I am having difficulty opening the guide. I have tried it on two different PCs (Windows 7 64 Bit & Windows XP 32 Bit) and whenever I attempt to open the file Adobe Acrobat Reader tells me:
"There was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and could not be repaired."
Does anyone else have this issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It could be that the file itself was corrupted on download. Try downloading it again. I can read it just fine in Win 7(64). I have really only one thing to say to your friend: Call me back when you need RSI treatment. Having that much yield from 8 lasers will fill his cargohold eight times every minute. Have fun drag n' dropping. That's the prime reason I bit the bullet and trained barges.
Not to mention that shelling out for a faction module and risking RSI for a measly 1m3/minute is just lolworthy. ---- The Demigodess with a Conscience - An EVE IC Blog

Hi Halada!
Glad to hear your still around. I've used your guides for years now.
One quick question though, In your guide you said that I must have a fleet commander to get the mining foreman mindlink benefits. Just for clarification does my designated fleet commander meet that requirement or does my booster acutally have to have the fleet commander skill trained up?
Again, Thanks for the years of advice and hope to see you finish up the guide.

Congrats on a well thought out guide Some ideas for you.
(1) Update guide now to include the ORE HOLDS that the Orca and Rorqual now hold (a) Also compression from a Rorqual can only be done if its dragged into the cargo hold. (2) IF you are writing a book I would have an editor go through this and help with some of the phrase that is used. No im not being critical I think what you have is great. Sometimes though it can be easier to read and understand if said certain ways.
(3) My mining amounts with the math seem to vary but i may just be off
(4) Overall its a good shot at a guide.
Keep up the good work
