NPC Carrier in Hek, Mission #30 of Epic Ark.

Tuttomenui II Gallente BUDAPIG LTD	Posted - 2009.03.12 20:07:00 - [1] Edited by: Tuttomenui II on 12/03/2009 20:14:03 I am currently doing the Epic Mission Ark, from Sister Alitura in Arnon. I am to #30 in the string and the agent in Hek I was sent to tasked me to scout a Smugglur Hub. When I got there there were 8 battleships all worth 1.2 mil bounty, 9 cruiser/battlecruiser, and a few frigates. And a huge NPC Carrier, 'Stolen Nidhoggur'. I am using a Ishkur to run these missions so I recruited some nice guys from local to waste these ships, (Note killing the ships is not required as this is a lvl1 mission). I moved in shot a bs got them to aggro me and then flew away and orbited the structures at 102km, and all that was able to hit me were the cruise missiles which ony did 6 damage to me in sheilds and 7 damage in armor. Carrier ignores you while you kill all the other ships. After we killed all the ships I engaged the carrier, and got a warning that the ship was a civilian and that i would take a factional standings hit if i continued my actions. I started shooting and orbiting the carrier at 2500m, he started neuting me and trying some other weapon not sure what but it was missing me. every so often my cap would rechage then drop to 0 and then recharge. took us a while to kill him, his armor went quicker than his armor. He dropped some t1 loot 437 marines and a tag. Salvaging the ship gets nothing. Oh and the carrier has no bounty. Well, couldn't you add a trigger on the carrier that spawns a couple fighter npcs when it is attacked? Like in that one Drone mission where there just a drone quuen, and at different % of damage it calls in reinforcements. would work for carrier as the fighters could be elsewhere in system ad warp in to deffend.

Take away the flying around part and you make EVE into a space themed spreadsheet application.
