I agree, that they are too frequent. And not rewarding compared to the ladar/anomalies.
Make them a bit less frequent and add some nice mins pls :)

It's all way too easy now. CCP should change it so that the probes must be manufactured in the system being explored, and only from invented bpc's. And only launchable from logistics ships! And we should have to complete a series of math puzzles before we get to the login screen. You pansies got it too easy!

being able to find a wormhole out within 5 minutes due to being able to totally filter out all other sites? **** no.

Give people an inch.....
I remember when it took a solid investment in time to be an explorer. I would hate to see any further speeding up of the process. The new system is well put together and makes it fun now. I would hate for them to take away the little work that still exists in the probing process.
As one poster said, go back to your missions!

W-space is uncharted space, why would there be beacons to asteroid belts?
Well, for some reason CCP decided to put asteroid belts in, although they are all empty... Beacons already exist for those.
so simply scoop them and through them in the grav site :-P

Agreed. I don't want to get trapped and killed in W-Space by a gang that can find all the exits in a few minutes. It's supposed to take a long time, and there's some skill to it. Adding a filter would remove all the skill.

That's not skill, that's patience in dealing with a clunky UI. How would you get "trapped" there? Large enough gangs that could block all gates too and from for hours on end? I am paranoid about gate camps, but this takes the cake.

I've been exploring almost non-stop since the new release. Separating out different scan hits definitely takes some skill in the sense you need to think about where to place your probes to eliminate the sites you've already found.
The worry about someone finding all the wormholes has to do with me not wanting to put a cloak on every ship that goes in. It's really not that hard to scan down someone who's not cloaked, and it doesn't take hours.

Yes to filters, no to anything else. OP comes across as staggeringly egocentric. Miners need love too.

So what you guys want, is to pinpoint those valuables fast, right?
There is 1 thing you guys don't think about. You wont make more isk running w-space systems even if you could pinpoint radar/magno/C540/C320 by right-clicking w-space and select 'warp-to Talocan BS weck'. Prices on those items would just plummet and nobody would care going in there again. Everyone back to macro-mining/ratting/scamming.
CCP did same mistake with Radar/Magno k-space sigs. Hardly anyone bother with Radar sites, and only a few do magnetometric, because CCP overdid the drop rate. If you are to sit in empire building T3 ships I can understand your concern, as you would ofc get cheaper materials if everyone cuold get the materials faster.
This is purely supply and demand. You don't need CCP to 'fix' that.

Filters are broken... Test them out a bit, and you'll notice what I talk about.

Edited by: Zero Zed on 31/03/2009 15:04:38 Definitely need that filter. Also, i did drone scanning before Apoc. Collecting lost T2 Drones, fixed them sorted and sold. That was a nice mini profession too. Now is totally impossible and pointless to scan anything without any exact name. Also the number of the lost drones are 4-5 times more than before in a system.
