Anyone tried it? 3 utility slots could be nice for 2 remote reps and 1 heavy neut.
Just curious, too expensive for my taste and you would have to fit 2-3 ECCM.

Depending on how much EHP repaired by remote armor compared to local armor repairer, one could fitt for remote energy transfer instead if EHP repaired by local armor repairer is greater than remote armor repair.

Energy Transfer Array + Remote rep. A few ships Passing energy around makes cap out of thin air. Then use plate+rep fits on Kronos/Paladin marauders. Now you can do the RR thing and take advantage of the local rep bonus. |

Ah yes very true.
So anyone tried local reps, maybe cap transfers between eachother and some remote reps?
Most I have ever seen marauder used for is baiting.

As far as the tank goes remote repping Marauders wont be significantly tougher than a standard RR BS Gang. They have some extra resists (nothing like HAC resists though) but thats it.
The benefit would come from the ablity to have 8 (effective) weapons fitted and maintain the Dual LRAR that is considered standard for a spider gang.
Im not sure how well the PG of the ships would stand up to having 4 guns, 2 LRAR's, MWD, Heavy Injector and a local rep (if you want to take advatage of the Rep Bonus) and obviously the ridiculously low Sensor Strength of the Marauders would necessitate the fitting of TWO ECCM's (making the mid slot layout of the Kronus and Paladinn MWD, Injector, 2x ECCM so no web). ECM is the bane of spider gangs as it only takes 2 or 3 of your ships to get jammed out at the same time and the whole spider chain collapses almost instantly. The levels of DPS that spider gangs are setup to tank means that when a few ships drop out of the chain due to ECM the rest start to explode very quickly.
So if you ask me, theyre simply not worth the hassle. Too expensive and too vulnerable to ECM.

I think the main problem about this idea is the fact that these battleships have VERY low sensor strength. That of a cruiser. So if you are in a gang (which you are since you are RR'ing), then you are probably expecting to fight another gang. This means they will more than likely have ECM. I know you said that you should fit ECCM, but you need those slots for Cap boosters (utilizing marauders huge cargo) and probably EW like webs. A few of these ships gets bonuses to them. Jamming will ultimately screw any RR plans you had with these ships.

Yeah, marauders are too expensive to lose this way I think.
All good points so far.
Spider tank some Nightmares instead, full tank in mids, extra ecm strength in lows and last I looked, not much different in price from Marauders.
Also due to the massive cpu use of shield transfers, I'd stick a really cap unstable but really big shield boost setup on and go for more energy transfers in highs.
