I like the look of most of the Amarr ships. I really like the Harbinger and the Curse. I'd like the look of Gallente more if some of their ships weren't so phallic. I'm not much into the Minmitar or Caldari at this point.

Hmm...well yes, some indy ships are oddly long. Considering the Gallente are of French origin, perhaps they have a preference for round, voluptuous shaped ships....or long, firm phallic looking ones.
Who said anything about sex?

Has your corp encountered Jove ships?
TomB would occasionally bring them on to the test server and they would appear in Aurora story-lines, until Aurora got shut down.
There is footage on youtube, here, and here.
Something happened internally in CCP, which hasn't been really well documented that drove all of the dev who had Jovian characters to re-create their looks, as documented in this thread.
All of the old Jove Devs (except CCP Valar) can be seen in this thread.
And yes, one of my claim-to-fames in EVE, is that I happen to have been fairly thorough in my quest to find out everything about the Jove (as anyone who knows me will attest).

When I first started playing this game I found all races ships quite ugly as most are unconventional designs within the sci-fi genre. But in the end most are acquired taste and in fact I have come to love many of them.
I picked Caldari as a race due to the back story and avatar looks but I hated their ship as most of them are asymetrical. Now I just love them. Specifically the Kestrel hull and I wish the Matnicore had a guristas or the covert ops camo skin instead of the orange/gold one. I would fly it then all the time even if it sucks big time.

All races have a couple of really good ones i would say. Yes even minmatar. For me its actually one of the reasons i play the game and keep playing it.
I took a quick look once, and will not look again, at the other space mmo thats not out yet and which i cant remember the name of. From what i saw i know i will never play that.
Sometimes CCP kinda miss the mark when they design a ship but thats what happens when you live on the edge.
And from what little i have seen from T3 it looks very good.

All pirate faction ships that are not derivative of Caldari junk, are sexy as hell -- Dramiel, Daredevil, Succubus, Cruor, Vigilant, Cynabal, Ashimmu, Phantasm, Nightmare, Bhaalgorn, Vindicator, Machariel -- all pure sex, every one. I just wish the frigs and cruisers were more robust, trying to fit them to do anything but go to the shine-n-show is pointless.
Nyx is 100% hotness, beautiful design. Erebus too.
Thorax is the sexiest cruiser IMHO, it just looks spaceworthy and the lines are awesome. After that for me would be the Bellicose, it's a red-headed stepchild for combat but I like the look.
Magnate-class ships are amazingly well done, I broke my own Minmatar-only taboo and learned to fly Amarr so I could trade my Cheetah in for an Anathema.
Fleet Firetail is beautiful from a uniqueness perspective, plus it's fun to fly.
Conversely, Caldari ships are the ugliest pieces of lead I've ever seen. So boring, blocky, and unimaginative -- just like the Caldari themselves. They look like someone watched 500 hours of Babylon 5 scenes where the Terrans were in battle, and decided to copy those ugly, function-before-form trashcans.

While the Nightmare is phreaking vertical, it does not really look enough of a metallic spiky crustacean to fit in line with the other Sansha ships and structures.
Once tried to fiddle together a vertical lobster as a nightmare but it looked too much like the Myrmidon. Might try it again some day with a more curved body (but still vertical).

Some of the pirate ships do look cool, but what is up with all the spikes? What the hell purpose are they supposed to serve? They look like what Orc ships would look like in an Eve/WoW universe...
Do pirates really just put spikes on their ships for looks?

It's because the Sanshas are wild and crazy visionary people with strange visions and all that other groovy psychotic (psychadelic?) bull****zle.
In that vein though, why aren't the Blood Raiders ships more wild?
