Nope Eve is a sandbox (even though I perfer pvp) and if something changes and you don't want to adapt then the pvper's or the carebears can emorage /quit.

…and being a sandbox means that I can do just about anything I like, including blowing you up, stealing your stuff, and generally ruin your breakfast.
Remove the competition part, and suddenly, is not even remotely the sandbox it was before. Remove ships blowing up at a surprising rate — even when they're not expected to — and the market collapses.

I'd be much more interested in a "no pve allowed" type of thing, would be kinda like perma death, if you lose your ship you can't get a new one :P

A hardcore eve where you have no backup clone option would be a neat idea just to watch people go insane from losing months/years worth of effort

Someone somewhere once said something along the lines that pvp in this game is a choice. When you click that yellow undock button, you chose to make yourself a target for pvp.
It's your pvp flag option, if you will.

But PVP is an option. It's called the undock button. You can stay docked and become the richest EVE player ever. Manufacture all you want. Then when you want to PVP click undock. No one is forcing you to undock.

PVP already is an option. Even when I lived in 0.0 I chose fight or flight as long as I wasn't being FC'd by someone.
If you want WoW in space though with 100% security you can go to hell. |
