I personally believe that it is, for the most part, done. I also believe that it wasn't released in March because it would be freaking insane to do so with wormholes and tech 3 at the same time, not to mention the retiring of the classic client and the new "premium lite" client. The "Winter" expansion is probably as good a guess as any. I would be surprised if we didn't see it by the Winter expansion. I think we have to remember, CCP is developing this technology anyway, for their other MMO project. We know this for fact. It only makes sense for them to use EVE as a guinea pig for their ambulation technology. Will EVE be better off with or without it? That is a debate for another thread... :) -Enthral

The CEO of CCP during his keynote speech at the most recent fanfest SLIPPED UP and said that Ambulation is being released in 2009. It's really subtle and almost everyone I know that was there/watched the videos missed this. But I'm the type that listens when important people speak. Now whether or not ambulation IS released in 2009, is an entirely different matter. It's easy for people to slipup and say the wrong thing on accident. I'm hoping it will have a winter release, but realistically im figuring on a Summer 2010 release or winter 2010 release. I would expect you guys to be looking into adding epic arcs/more t3 stuff, and doing SOV mechanic revisions/ adding viceroy mechanics to low sec.

Because they will never deliver anything on schedule Development is a pipeline... its changes as they figure out what can realistically be developed in a certain timeframe. It's to be expected that dates aren't given until a general feature list is secured.

So I hope that before CCP release this they do a clever internet based add campaign or somethign using movies made with clips of walking in stations (hint hint). I am sure all the player base would like it and it couldnt hurt the subscription rates.

Having briefly seen the Minmatar dancer in the preview, I know exactly what kind of videos and other services will be produced, especially if users can charge ISK for entry...

Walking in stations will be nice, but as always CCP introduced it with a lot of stuff to be in and in the end it will be a bugged barebone which will be published and then forgotten for the next 3 years. They always did it that way.. Besides before working on planetary interaction, they better be reworking the ****load of stuff in eve that's in urgent need or rebalancing/reworking/additions. Otherwise you will have a lot of old customers leave the game. For example when Black Prophecy goes live etc.
