Can CCP write a devblog or show us players where we can go to find out what steps we need to take to get a name change? The reason that I ask is that over the years there have been a number of characters and corporation names that I wanted to change - the answer from CCP was always "We don't do that, ever. Unless your name is petitioned as being something obscene."
So, in light of recent events (Kenzoku having their name changed) and due to the history of CCP favoritism and cheating with regards to Kenzoku/ex-BOB, I'd like to know how the average player can also get hooked up with name changes.

Name changes don't happen unless a name is found to be obscene, simple as that.
Kenzoku/BOB did not change their name. BOB was disbanded, and Kenzoku was created.

I think he is referring to the name change that happened today. CCP changed the name "Kenzoku" to "Band of Brothers Reloaded".
It's just a name, so it doesn't make any big difference and they didn't have any sov anyways but it's sad to see CCP favoritism once again, when there are hundreds out there who would have liked to change their name but got denied for the sole reason that name change is not allowed.

Then Kenzoku had it's name changed. Every other alliance that has wanted a name change has been told to disband and recreate, and that CCP would not change their names for them. Well, that's not the case anymore. vOv
Also, why IBTL? I'm asking for a policy update for the playerbase since apparently something has changed without us knowing. |

Given past history, and that name changes have always been denied in the past...I would call that cheating, just happens it is the game owners/creators that are doing it ..
