Is anyone sitting on some BPO for the new Assault Frigates?
Anyone have one right now? How bad are the building requirements and how much can we expect to pay for them?

I'm guessing that nobody has a bp yet. I have a feeling that they'd be pretty cheap to produce if components weren't so insanely expensive right now. I'm guessing the first couple will go for 50-100M and they'll eventually come down to 30-50M until CCP adds a way to produce T2 stuff without selling yourself to some NPC corp.

It's pretty sad to see that frigates will probably cost over many times the cost of a cruiser, makes it worthless to actually use them in battle since you're only asking to get shot and lose dozens of millions.

Its not sad, its economics. Just like buying the first DVD burners for 10000 $.Many times the worth of a whole computer. Some just HAVE to buy it. |

it's a little bit more than that. When ships are new, people dont really know how to counter them and one turning up is a bit of a surprise. When I first jumped in an interceptor I pretty much went on a frig, cruiser, indy killing rampage. Then people got smart and worked out how to counter and my life is more difficult.
I'm not defending the high prices - I'm at the arse end of the chain and hate forking out for them (I fly a crow, buzzard + covert ops atm), but prices tend to come down.
