I lol'ed.
And the brother of one of my brother's roommates came to town several weeks ago and I found out he plays. We ended up having a very nerdy conversation while out in public that I'm sure embarrassed everyone in the group.

Lets see, I have 5 rl friends who have at least tried eve, only 1 of whom didnt like it. 1 friend who plays currently. That's 6 so far. And have worked with at least 5 ppl in local factories that play. met 3 ppl at the local best buy, and a couple at gamestop. I occasionally catch bits and pieces of conversations that seem to relate to eve while in public places. Maybe its just that Michigan has a rather high % of ppl who are into gaming of some sort. Absolutely everything is subjective. |

My best friend introduced me to EVE, and at my former job I met 3 other people that either play or have played in the past.

I have one friend who's always trying to get me to play Guild Wars and I think it's boring and don't want to know.
While I'm always trying to introduce him to Eve and he thinks it's boring and doesn't want to know.
if you disagree with me then you should probably post a response and stop reading my signature. |

No wonder so many new players can deal with the horrible learning curve of this game. Seems like a ton of people were introduced to it by RL friends. That would help for sure.

I heard words like 'Frigate' and 'Battleship' being said a few desks away at the office, so I decided to go see what was on his computer screen. A collegue was showing another colleague the ship comparison sheet and he was pointing out which ships were what class and what they did. I just leaned against the wall, not saying anything while he also tried to convince me.
Turns out he moved into the space we had just left at the time, bastard. ---
