Only a week after the Jita burn, and it has already fizzled away into yesterdays news. I find CCPGÇÖs handling of this whole situation (regarding cyber bulling and the following GÇ£protestGÇ¥ for said idiots ban from the CSM) quite exceptional.
 If they had not publically stated GÇ£ **** yea this is going to be greatGÇ¥ we would still be hearing about all of this mess
But because they did say that, everything returned to normal shortly after the quote-unquote GÇ£big eventGÇ¥.
So much so that Jita seems untarnished atm, and there is barley a whisper condeming CCP's reputation atm. Win. What was supposed to be one of the biggest things in EVE memory is scarcely the topic of conversation anymore in game. IMO, CCP has learned allot from the whole Gǣwalking in stationsGǥ fiasco, and if the Jita burn has taught us one thing, it is thisGǪ CCP seems to have hired better PR people.
Homeostasis has returned to the game so quickly after what could have been a clusterfuck two times over. Thank you CCP for you excellent job with crowd control on this matter. For once, I can honestly say, CCP win.

The point was the contrast between what happened with the Incarna release, and how CCP handled it, and what happened with this event, and how CCP handled it. Doesn't really matter that the goon event was non-significant from conception...CCP could have inflated the issue by overreacting. |
