WoW has downtimes every tuesday for like 5-6+ hours(that is if they don't run into a problem).. AOC.. no clue about that game but EVE's downtime is reasonable.

Then it was extended on a regular basis to 7 hours, then that became the norm. Then they had extended maintenance for 8 hours, then that became the norm. Then a few times they tried doing the oceanic maintenance a few hours later to give Aussies something to play on Tuesday nights, but that just meant all 100k active WoW players converged on the oceanic servers on Tuesday nights, rendering them useless. So Tuesday nights are pretty much non-gaming nights for Aussie WoW players (except those people who really get a buzz out of mining, which is the only activity in WoW that is more tedious and boring than harvesting ice in EVE), so EVE actually has 1/6th more available uptime.

I hear wow effs up quite often and takes them HOURS to fix and they have emergency shutdowns and what not and go back an forth the next few days all because of a bad reset or something.
