Just wondering if any of you guys/gals encountered a similar problem to what I had on Monday/Tuesday this week with missing research slots.
In total I HAD 12 research slots all for my corp, used and maintained by 3 members (including me and my 2nd account).
I check the slots EVERY day even though some have weeks and months running times on them. If I want to create BPC's its usually 1 or 2 maximum slots change at any 1 time.
I could not get on EVE Monday due to rl, when I logged on Tuesday evening after rl work I checked the research slots only to find 2 slots running for corp, all the rest where gone and no publically available ones it sight!!!
I received no mails that they had been ejected and baring in mind that 5 of the 10 where mine and my 2nd account, and the other station manager is on holiday... WTF happened to them 
Anyone come across this recently please?
I have petitioned the event and am currently waiting for a reply.
2 slots left!!! This sucks big time

Th exact same thing has happened to me and a corp m8. Happened to him last week, he has petitioned. Happened to me about a month ago.

Damn, that sucks big time :(
Sadly you probably wont get any joy from the CCP reply as they arent gonna take the slots off someone else who managed to rent them and give em back to you. No joy comes from petitioning CCP about lost lab slots anytime. AFAIK

I only looked at the topic and just want to add that;
1. I've had this happen to me several times
2. Last time i petitioned it, a GM called me a liar and some moderators on these boards decided to edit my posts and lock the threads in such a way that I came out looking bad
3. CCP are ignoring this problem

I lost a slot too.
I don't honestly know why CCP bothered to try and redistribute them via the 5% increase in rent. They are as buggy as hell and sooner or later will just unrent themselves anyway

i have lost 2 lab slots now, at different times the last one was last week. its getting to be pain in the arse, between getting scammed buying lab slots and losing them quite frequently this game is starting to really suck.

Same hapand to me 2times in the same day this week but i was lucky and was fast enuff to rent them back.

Our lil' corp has lost a total of four research slot to this bug in the last week. Its very very annoying after moving your research rig about only to find your slots have disapeared 12 hours in. Why wont CCP acknowledge this is a problem, particularly as they are so hard to find and so damned expensive.

i had the same problem on saturday i think it was. but luckily they were still publicly available and i rerented them asap. the originals were in my hangar ready for use, but i had no copies there tho..

Update on discussions with GM regarding my 10 lost slots...
Basically their excuse was that I had not paid the rents on 10 slots, but when I checked my corp accounts they had in fact been paid for. Besides, it is too coincidental to have purchased 10 slots within 1 day of each other and to have them ALL expire together.
Comment also made to me was "even if it were found to be a game bug, we would be in a very difficult possition to retrieve the slots from a player who has now acquired them".
This does not inspire me with confidence at all.
It's probably going to take me months to get back 10 slots....... what a load of s***e

aside from fixing the bug,...lol, I mean solving the already occured problem(s)
it sure as heck wouldn't be fair to the people who got the lab slots after they un-rented to have them taken away...
really it comes down to the whole "posession is 9/10ths" sorta "yes, you should still be the one who has them, but you don't now, and we can't legitimately take them away from someone who, in the situation they got it in, obtained it legitimately" situation.
it might take you months to get back those slots.... but what makes you so sure you didn't get them from someone who had a similar problem? would it be right for them to be taken from you?
my point being... if CCP's action on it, is so... uninspiring to you, what would you suggest as a better path?

12 SLOTS!!! Sorry but i do not feel sorry for you, with the current shortage of slots i don't beleive that you should be able to have that many!
I think there should be a limit on how many slots a corp or an individual can rent at one time..say 5 for a corp and 2 for an individual.
I think its outrageous that you have that many and I suspect many corps have way more than that....

to argue the side of those who have slots, Jaldarr, that sort of limitation would not be fair, when you can level your skills such to use up to 6 lab slots, AND when leveling it that high is a prereq for a very useful skill. (research project management)
personally I have 5 slots, all in high sec, the last 2 I found somewhat recently(didn't pay anyone for any of them) without even looking.
while I KNOW its easier to say it when you have lab slots, there REALLY isn't nearly as much of a shortage as some make it seem.
there is NO reason for EVERYONE to have easy avaliability to lab slots. do I think it could be a little closer to the avaliability on factorys? yes. it should not be as big of a barrier to production as it is, but it should be something that is worth keeping if you find it, not common enough that it doesn't matter.
is there a healthy chunk of luck involved in finding them? sure, but they are there to be found. I once had NO lab slots, I know how that feels and all. but they can be found.
remember that some BP's take days and weeks of research lab time to even make them practically useable. and once in that state, live in a slot running copies most of the time.
that can cut your "practical" slots down signifigantly.
I don't feel bad about having the slots I do, and if I find a 6th, I'll get that too, and additional ones to that, I'll grab temporarily, in order to save them for corp mates, as appropriate. I do draw the line at using alts for that purpose, and I think that is a little "hoggy" but its not reaonable for those who SERIOUSLY do research and such, to have those sorts of slots.

I doubt that is the source of the problem. for starters, you only have USE for so many labs. for quite a while I had only 3 labs, and I was almost getting to the point where I was considering buying some BPO's just so I'd have new things to feed it(BPC market is already seriously oversaturated)
