Nobody else think that:
- old warp scrambling effect was better than the new one? - old sensor booster effect was better than the new one? - old armor repair effect was better than the new one? - old stasis webifier effect was better than the new one? - and maybe that old blasters effect was better than the new one?
Well i do, and i hope in a rollback or something. What about you?

Mostly I think the old Cyno effect was better. New one is useless, tbh.

I disagree on most parts. Many of the updated effects are better then the old ones.
I do think the Sensor Booster effect is rather annoying, however. It needs to be scaled down. An effect from a module should never be greater then the size of the ship itself.
I especially like the new Shield Booster / Shield Harderner & Armor Repair / Armor Harderner effects. Very nice.

I love all the new effects except the webbing one, I find it much harder to see compared to the older one which bugs me a lot.

I love the new effects (how can you not like the new armour repair effects? ) apart from Blasters. They're just a bit wimpy, particularly so when you scale up to Large and XL Blaster versions. --------------

I love the new effects tbh. The sensor booster one is a bit weird though... like divine or something. Still good though.
I'd love a Battlestar Galactica jump effect anyway!

I love all the new effects except the Cyno and jump drive effects. Have you seen the jump effect post-patch? It's just like jumping at a stargate, your ship goes "sploosh". The old jump drive effect was powerful and dramatic, from the visuals to the noise. Watch the video "War Has Come" by Kyoko Sadako (google it) and you'll see how dramatic the old effect could be.

Turn on bloom. Blasters and lasers go from pretty wimpy to freakin awesome.
I've got bloom on high...
Lasers I agree with, guess it's just a different view of 'awesome'. Capital railguns look (and sound) sweet though...
Edit: I take it back somewhat, just depends on the angle you view them from. I do think Capital Blasters looked and sounded better before though. --------------

It's all a matter of opinion. Ask every single player, and they can probably pick at least one effect of the old system that they preferred over the new. Another proof that no matter what you do, you can't please everyone. And of course, everyone assumes that THEIR opinion, is the opinion of everyone who is intelligent and reasonable.

The old effects were much better as you could tell what was actually going on instead of a giant orgy of colours just spasming around your screen.

Yeah, the jump drive effect is what I actually meant.
A while back I was making a video for a 0.0 campaign. Shots of ~200 ships bridging at a titan, or a POS, or a ton of capitals jumping off, looked awesome. Now it's boring as all hell.

The new cyno+jump effects are something i really dont understand:
Just imagine all the trailers without the old effects....and add the new one. How incredible BORING! How can you take out such a feature i don't know.

Prefer new. Prefer the one prior to this one, the radar sweep style one, that was awesome, old was better than the current though. Prefer new. Prefer new. Not 100% on blasters, I know I liked the old one, but I can't remember what it looked like.

New projectiles are good New lazorz are good New hybrids are /slap CCP terrible (the old effect was just too good) Certain EWAR needs to be more prominent like WARP SCRAMBLERS (HELLO???) I like most of the other effects in general, though I admit I haven't seen the sensor booster up close The new web/stargate/wormhole/cyno/probe warp effect is plain annoying because it's a reused effect for all of those and that's all I can think of whenever I see it. "Ugh, this damn sloppy seconds effect again"
But, yeah. These forums seriously need some indicator that the post has ended and the sig has started. |

This, pritty much sums up all the effects except
the new shieldbooster effect is okeyish (was the old one out of order or something?)
Most people I talk with thinks the tractorbeams are better, I dont agree. The salvager grapics is better though but not the sound.

I like alot of the new effects, especially the shield hardener/rep effect. But i definately prefer the old armor rep effect, the new one is nice and all, but really buggy... If it were to fade in/out that'd be good... but at the moment you can see it start, cycle through all nice, then suddenly jerk back to start like a skipping record. Look at it on an avatar - its f**ked!
And definately, DEFINATELY bring back the old cyno effect.

Most of the new effects are pretty cool (nos and neuts being my favs). However, the new webbing effect, cyno effect and cap ship jumping effect are terrible.
Also the new sensor booster effect looks funny on an apoc.

Like almost all the new effects.
Apart from the new jump drive effect. Jumping a capital ship used to be impressive and cool. Now it is really boring and lame.
Rework the new one or bring back the old one tbh.

I dislike most of the new effects, not because they are new but because they somehow don't convey what's happening or fit well within the module's use. It's more like "oh look, shiny stuff! Shiny stuff gooooood!".

While a lot of the new effects are nifty and new I do have one problem and one potential problem.
The new shield effects are superior to the old ones and the new armor effects are comparable, but when zoomed in all the way they make so much noise that I can't hear my ship shooting or being shot. This just isn't cool.
Without having seen hull repairs and with the way shield and armor tanking effects have been changed I might have a problem with hull repairs. I know longer have a picture to use to show what I'm talking about so I'll just say this. One day I undocked just behind a myrmidon in my machariel. He must not have been expecting it as he ****ed his pod and the area surrounding it become flooded with yellow...
If they changed that I'll miss the old hull repair effects. ____________________

The new sensor booster effect needs to go. Not only is it incredibly annoying in semi-large fleets, it also tanks the frame rate. Obviously what I say isn't always what my alliance thinks. I hate to break it to you, but this is in fact my signature.

There are some more new graphics on Sisi. Warp effect looks much better than both the current TQ and pre Apocrypha. Salvagers also received a new graphic on Sisi.
