Not to be indelicate but could you contact me. I don't think it comes as any surprise that I would be interested in encouraging, and sponsoring, such excellent work. ([email protected]) Eve Guardian - Former Reporter

we need more of this useful information in eve.... I find it interesting how the price of trit is increasing when it can easily be mined in empire (unlike zy). i remember the days i used to sell trit at 1.2 isk! |

The prices look like they come from regions which are heavy on nocx and light on isogen (as in Minmatar space has plenty of omber but not pyroxeres -- Caldari is the other way around). Correct? In that case a better index would cover 1 nocx region and 1 isogen region. ------------- You have to go out of your mind from time to time to stay sane. |

Thanks guys for all the positive responses
To Shar Tegral: I'll mail you when I get home from work.
To Claus: It was my initial intention to make the average mineral price based on 4 regions (one of every race), but decided not to, for 2 reasons:
1. The volume of high end minerals is too low in the 2 other regions 2. I would have to write down 672 numbers every week
Right now, prices are based on 1 omber and 1 pyroxeres containing region.
However, I did write them down just once, for all 4 regions. Looking at them, I can confirm there isn't any relationship between the average mineral price and the ore found in the region. Don't forget there are a lot of mineral traders who like to whipe out every price difference between regions.
Highest average price difference between regions was 7.60% for isogen and only 2.78 % for nocxium.
If I would rank them from highest to lowest average price:
Isogen:
- Caldari
- Gallente
- Minmatar
- Amarr
Nocxium:
- Amarr
- Minmatar
- Gallente
- Caldari

Feronia,
I stand corrected It is a great initiative (should have said that in my first post). Personally I found it particularly interesting to see the price rises over year-to-date.
Keep up the good work, Claus ------------- You have to go out of your mind from time to time to stay sane. |

Edited by: Siroc on 27/08/2004 21:33:48 great work. too bad they have no XML feed with this data from eve-online.com directly that could be integrated into the website and provide real time info.
I think trit prices are growing because more and more people getting into the combat as ex-miners of 0.0 who can not mine any more because of harder NPCs and wars moving into mission running and pvp. More people in combat = more ships lost and ammo spent. Sales of ships and ammo had increased a lot since last few patches. No surprize that trit that required there started to become more and more expencive. Economy needs to rebalance itself.
