Mark 7 guns 12 5 in (127 mm) 38 cal. Mark 12 guns 32 BGM-109 Tomahawk cruise missiles 16 RGM-84 Harpoon Anti-Ship missiles 4 20mm/76 cal. CIWS(Aka Phalanx)

Shimatu	Posted - 2004.08.26 18:27:00 - [13] just needs real dual and quad guns. currently, a dual 250mm railgun is just a pathetic weapon for BSes. what it should be, is 2 250mms linked together. so it has twice (or just over - little more to cover the extra mountings and complications) the fittings req's, twice the rof, same damage mods and tracking and everything, and fires the same ammo size. allow cruisers to use dual small guns, and bses to use dual cruiser guns or quad frigate guns. (imagine that though... an apoc armed with basically 32 small lasers :P). for this, some balancing would of course be needed so as not to make them hideously overpowered.... 3-I's T2 sales can be found HERE

This has been brought up many times in other threads I've seen over the last few weeks, and I think it's such an elegant solution and would appear to be such a no brainer that CCP can't see it clearly. The last few months of Frigate uberness really is rediculas, why CCP would want to overpower a noob class ship so much is beyond comprehension, since it gives everyone (new players alike) nothing to strive for beyond frig 5 and some minor missle and small weapons skills, since even the engineering and electronics skills that are so VITAL for battleships aren't really needed on Frig class gank vessles. There is NO reason that a battleship pilot should be forced to fit a single small weapon in one of his turret slots.. instead there should be large turrets availiable that have many (prolly 4-6) small barrels in each slot to be used for close range/high tracking point defense.

ITs purpose in LIFE is MISSILE Defense... NOT Anti AIR Defense.... Effective Range is 2km approx. Yes, I have...I am Ex-US Navy...and work for the Department of the Navy at this time....
