I've been doing level 4 missions for a good 3 months now. They're boring as hell I know. But they help fund some pvp action. Anyway, I would like some opinions on the Navy Mega.
Is it worth the almost 500 mil price tag? I can fit my regular Mega with tech 2 except for the guns. From what I can see, all the Navy Mega gets is some more hp and an extra low slot. Is it really that good for PvE?
I already have a fit planned, basically my standard Mega with an extra mag stab.
All I'm looking for is some opinions, is the Navy Mega worth it's huge price tag?
Thanks in advance. |

And by far the ugliest ship flying in eve, that's why I sold mine as soon as I got some gunnery skills

You will not be using it for pvp so i guess you will find out soon enough if its worth it or not for pve.
Do the math, does a 400+ mil price tag make the dmg you get from one more mag stab (remember to take stacking into account if you use 1 or 2 already).
It may or may not work out more profitable depending on how much you mission run.

Its not that bad since its not turd colour anymore. Plus with sentry and gunnery skills its amazing.
But on topic, I retrained towards amarr to use their battleships for missions. Crystals are very nice.

navy mega is worth 500mil now
/me goes to sell the one I got for 200mil many months ago
and no, the navy mega isn't really that much of an improvement over the mega, unless you're willing to bump up to using faction gear with a faction ship and are unwilling to do so on a regular t1 ship. Now, in PvP, the extra 50% hp's and extra lowslot are both things that give the navy mega a great advantage over the regular mega. On the other hand, if the price really is 500mil now, i'm not sure that the extra performance is really worth the extra price...

Even though the Navy Mega has better stats and an extra low slot compared to a 'vanilla' Mega, it's got the same PG and CPU so you can't just slap on an extra module. To get the best performance out of it, you really need to use faction gear as it generally has lower fitting requirements than T2.
When properly fit, a Navy Mega is a thing of destructive beauty, but it's often so expensive that few people will ever PvP in one. |
