This person is blessed with ignorance and stupidity, he has no understanding of the situation so lets just leave it at that.
well he has a point and this isnt the first time ideas like this have been posted by CA members
Nope, there is no point in his comment other than to incite a flame which is the same as yours, alt boy.
CA has no reason for desperation what so ever.
This is just a discussion of possibilities.

On this point (borrowed from an email):
The following is an actual question given on a University of Washington chemistry mid-term exam.
The answer by one student was so profound that the professor shared it with colleagues, via the Internet, which is of course why we now have the pleasure of enjoying it as well.
Bonus Question: Is Hell exothermic (gives off heat) or endothermic absorbs heat)?
Most of the students wrote proofs of their beliefs using Boyle's Law which states that gas cools off when it expands and heats up when it is compressed, or some variant.
One student, however, wrote the following :
First, we need to know how the mass of Hell is changing in time. So we need to know the rate that souls are moving into Hell and the rate they are leaving. I think that we can safely assume that once a soul gets to Hell, it will not leave. Therefore, no souls are leaving.
As for how many souls are entering Hell, let's look at the different religions that exist in the world today. Some of these religions state that if you are not member of their religion, you will go to Hell.
Since there are more than one of these religions and since people do not belong to more than one religion, we can project that all souls go to Hell. With birth and death rates as they are, we can expect the number of souls in Hell to increase exponentially.
Now, we look at the rate of change of the volume in Hell because Boyle's Law
states that in order for the temperature and pressure in Hell to stay the same, the volume of Hell has to expand proportionately as souls are added.
This gives two possibilities: (1) If Hell is expanding at a slower rate than the rate at which souls enter Hell, then the temperature and pressure in Hell will increase until all Hell breaks loose. (2) If Hell is expanding at a rate faster than the increase of souls in Hell, then the temperature and pressure will drop until Hell freezes over.
So which is it?
If we accept the postulate given to me by Teresa during my Freshman year, that "...it will be a cold day in Hell before I sleep with you", and take into account the fact that I still have not succeeded in having sexual relations with her, then No. 2 cannot be true, and thus I am sure that Hell
is exothermic and will not freeze.
The student received the only "A".
---- In Summation no chance, but its fun to ponder these things!

Who cares who makes the post? It is still just an interesting thought and nothing else. Don't make assumptions and start posting flame bait because an idea is brought up.

I am not so sure about that. I think the idea have been circulating in both camps.

Right now CCP knows that war is not costly enough. Shiva and other developments are the first step to address that. In this new environment, TRUST will be a very valuable commodity and somehow I can't see anyone accepting any agreement the CA leadership dishes out.
I must say that I totally understand the mutual respect amongst the combat pilots. This happens to some degree in most drawn out wars. Unfortunately, this good will is lost in the schemings of the 'politicians' and they general tend to make the decisions.

IMHO i think some of Xetic would be included. A lot of CA would frown at it, but such a large southern empire would require some industrial corps whom just so happen to have a little pvp experience and are used to harsh conditions.
Their Industrial capacity would no doubt be used to counter the western industry comming out of fountain, with the safety cover of the SA/CA fleet.

my own thoughts on the matter are this, yes it would be a impressive force and with the advent of shiva any nap/alliance between sa/ca would be beneficial to both parties while the possibilities of POS are investigated and implemented, also on the subject of the ca being "desparate" and bringing up this thread, i think its safe to say both sides have thought about it and all that ca have done is publicly posted what both sides members have thought about, that and that alone is the reason for this thread, no alliance can be so desparate to try to nuture a hope via a public forum thread, because as every semi-intelligent player of the game knows it is nigh on impossible to militarily defeat another alliance and claim its space the game dynamics dont offer this possiblility, you have to tactically inept and stupid to an alarming degree to lose your space, but with POS in shiva this will change a few things and mean you have to defend your space more keenly as POS losses will likely hurt more than any lost battle, so with this in mind the real winners could possibly be the likes of m0o and evol as they dont seem to want to tie themselves to an area of space and as such will not require POS but are happy to wage war on there terms, all they need is a sound financial base which it seems clear they have.
either way wether it happens or not remains to be seen.
this for what its worth is my opinion only.
I picked up this ace book today everyone rates it as a must buy for the budding military genius, tho ive decided to rename it as "Sun Tzu's art of the bloody obvious" |
