Hey, just wondering has captured any fraps of the new DD effects, since they got an overhaul in the apocrypha patch.
So far i've seen the new Ragnarok and Avatar ones, and while the avatar one used to be my favourite, i REALLY don't like the new version.
Avatar Old This one had the "bathed in holy light" thing going on. A real WHAMMO factor to it... the new one is just kind of a yellow mist with a dodgy, bugged looking weird circle around the ship. Unfortunately i can't find a fraps of it, and all of mine are incomplete since i'm usually warping away from the things.
Heres a pic of the new one at least to give an idea... Avatar New At first glance the light in the middle looks nice and detailed etc, but the animation of it all just isn't right... :(
I do however feel the Ragnaroks effect got a HUGE improvement.

Gee I wonder where I i've seen that Avatar effect before. Its a giant sensor booster. Actually the new graphics people could only come up with 4 different effects. So they just spread them all over the game, and hoped nobody would notice.

Wow Minmatar new one looks really cool.
I suppose that's to make up for the minmatar titan looking like a really long turd? 
Avatar one looks crap and like a giant sensor booster but it's hard to tell from a screenshot.
Damn you showing that vid of the old cyno, made me remember how good it looked to the crap we have now.

Here is another link to the old (awesome) DDs. Played it countless times, so please CCP revert back to the old effects:).

New cyno effect is terrible. No cloaking/decloaking sounds is terrible.

Thanks pastastic, though i think the erebus one is the old one... Or maybe it just didn't get changed much.
You guys see what i mean about the new avatar one though? what the hell is with that weird circle? lol

oh wow i actualy like the new avatar DD better, except for that ring, that was kinda weird
as for the gall titan that is the old effect, if we can find the new leviathan and Erebus DD i will be grateful

Jeez i miss that cyno effect...
Anyways, just an update - found the New Leviathon.
I don't like it. The effect looks great, but like all the new effects - it isn't smoothly animated, it jerks alot. Things don't fade in and out etc they just abruptly stop.
CCP have really ruined my hobby of CapWatching... The cyno effect is underwhelming, the hardener/rep effects are jerky, the new doomsdays are jerky... GHEY GHEY GHEY

New erebus looks much the same, seen it in the middle of a pretty long and blurry video...
And the new cyno/capjump is exactly the same as a gatejump, which is exactly the same as a web, which is exactly the same as a wormhole...
