Lana Torrin Minmatar Republic Military Skool	Posted - 2009.04.28 07:07:00 - [1] OK, I haven't seen a Navy Mega in lowsec PvP in forever.. Seriously its been ages since I've seen any faction gear.. Over the weekend I saw 4 (and got my ass handed to me by 2 of them at the same time). Have Navy Megas suddenly dropped in price or something?! Is this the new FOTM? Does anyone have one they can loan me so I can have my revenge?

In case of navy mega, you get a mega with extra low slot and more base HP - which is awesome. I'd fly navy mega if I could, this way I need to be happy with Fleet Pest. Edit: My EFT says that with 2 plates, 2 faction eanms, dc, trimarks, HG slaves and 10% gang armor bonus EHP is actually over 250k total.

But yah, the extra buffer and the low price on them makes it a no-brainer to use if you got semi-decent amount of isks. If you got a main/alt that lives anywhere but in lowsec it's not very hard to make isk. It's a balance issue tho, as much as I'd love to see CCP nerf the incomes, it's alot of other aspects playing in. No player with half a brain would sell a navy ship that cheap for example; look at the cost in LP store. Basicly you're giving away your LP and hard work for nothing, unless you got a macro miner and go the BPC route.. coughs coughs coughs and perhaps macro-run lowsec courier missions which is pretty risk-free and a nice LP-hoarding method coughs coughs coughs. Either case, that's not what this thread is about. We'll see prices of Navy ships this low until the farmers realise they're giving us players stuff for free. Whent hey do, they might actually cooperate to increase the price shedloads instead, but who knows.. they probably got their own competition in their own markets as well. - This space for rent

But we see them on scan around Verge Vendor reasonably frequently. I tried to filter out Navy Mega kills on our alliance board but I guess that feature doesn't exist. I know we've nabbed at least a couple though. Probably on par with the number of Navy Ravens or just about.

It's a very cost effective ship to use in pvp if you know what you are doing. For better or worse I'm amarr spec'd and the navy apoc isn't nearly as appealing for pvp.

It needs to detect when you are about to fit a fail fit and remind you to test it on sisi first.
