Actually Lamb was the first one of his books I read. My wife has all of them. So I have read Lust Lizard, Practial Demonkeeping, Fluke, Blood Sucking Fiends and You SUCK!.
His writing is a little uneven, but still enjoyable.

Sometimes I fell like I am diagonally parked in a horizontal Universe - Is what I found when I Googled the quote

Loved the Terry Pratchett quotes, so here are a few more:
'Give a man a fire and he's warm for the day. But set fire to him and he's warm for the rest of his life.'
'For animals, the entire universe has been neatly divided into things to (a) mate with, (b) eat, (c) run away from, and (d) rocks.'
'Seeing, contrary to popular wisdom, isn't believing. It's where belief stops, because it isn't needed any more.'
'"Why's it called Ming?" said the Archchancellor, on cue. The Bursar tapped the vase. It went *ming*.'

Oh, yes. Oh so much freaking yes!
Though I think nothing beats the TV and signpost conversations if you are a Brocken Mirror in that game.
Or when you listen to the TV and it announces that the police: "... and they know i was you".
" There was a man who sat each day looking out through a narrow vertical opening where a single board had been removed from a tall wooden fence. Each day a wild ass of the desert passed outside the fence and across the narrow opening first the nose, then the head, the forelegs, the long brown back, the hindlegs, and lastly the tail. One day, the man leaped to his feet with the light of discovery in his eyes and he shouted for all who could hear him: "It is obvious! The nose causes the tail!"

2 hands working have more worth than 10,000 clasped in prayer. - anonymous
A lot of Christians wear crosses around their necks. You think when Jesus comes back he ever wants to see a ****ing cross? It's like going up to Jackie Onassis wearing a rifle pendant. - Bill Hicks
Watching television is like taking black spray paint to your third eye. - Bill Hicks
Childbirth is no more a miracle then eating food and a turd coming out of your ass. - Bill Hicks
If the world is saved, it will not be by old minds with new programs but by new minds with no programs at all. - Daniel Quinn
I hope the next time I move I get a real easy phone number, something that's real easy to remember. Something like two two two two two two two two. I would say "Sweet." And then people would say, "Mitch, how do I get a hold of you?" I'd say, "Just press two for a while. And when I answer, you will know you have pressed two enough." - Mitch Hedberg
I never joined the army because "at ease" never seemed that easy to me. It seemed rather uptight, still. I do not relax by putting my arms behind my back and parting my legs slightly, that does not equal ease to me. At ease is not being in the military. I'm eased bro, cause I'm not in the military. - Mitch Hedberg

Nordom: Attention, Fall-From-Grace. I wish to address your body. Fall-From-Grace: I beg your pardon? Nordom: Your body. Your form. Your reason for selecting it. Why? Fall-From-Grace: Why..? I suppose I find it comforting. Besides, I rather like the wings. Nordom: It would be more practical for you to assume the form of a modron. It is 13.27% more efficient; give or take +5.2%. Fall-From-Grace: (gently flirting) Why, Nordom... are you trying to court me? Nordom: It was not my intention to initiate legal action against you.
Fall-from-Grace was my second favourite character.

Because this threads back like the plague, time for some more Pratchett Quotes.
People who are rather more than six feet tall and nearly as broad across the shoulders often have uneventful journeys. People jump out at them from behind rocks then say things like, "Oh. Sorry. I thought you were someone else." - The philosopher Didactylos has summed up an alternative hypothesis as "Things just happen. What the hell." - The Dean: "What is this thing, anyway?" The Senior Wrangler: "It's called a shovel. I've seen the gardeners use them. You stick the sharp end in the ground. Then it gets a bit technical." - Archchancellor Ridcully: "This thing's a kind of big artificial brain, then?" Ponder Stibbons: "You could think of it like that. Of course, Hex doesn't actually think. Not as such. It just appears to be thinking." Archchancellor Ridcully: "Ah. Like the Dean." - Vimes: "Possibly? You turn up when people are possibly going to die?" Death: OH YES. IT'S QUITE THE NEW THING. IT'S BECAUSE OF THE UNCERTAINTY PRINCIPLE. Vimes: "What's that?" Death: I'M NOT SURE. - Death (When Playing Chess): REMIND ME AGAIN HOW THE LITTLE HORSE-SHAPED ONES MOVE.

Bonnie: Somebody save him, he can't swim! Peter: Oh, he's not even kicking. Kick Joe, kick. Lois: Peter, he's a paraplegic! Peter: That doesn't mean he can't hear. Kick Joe, kick!
Stewie (to one of the prostitutes at Cleveland's house): So, is there any tread left on the tires? Or at this point would it be like throwing a hot dog down a hallway?
Zap Brannigan: Why'd you open your bonghole, you smelly hippie. You'd be willing to sacrifi a hansom lady for a moderately attractive monkey? you must have smoked some bad cranola.
"I'd rather be sorry for the things ive done, than regret the things i never did" - i know i cant be the first one to think so ^^
