http://www.play.com/ have 50% off the Eve box and free P&P and the Eve box has a 60day time card. So for ú14.99 the price of one months subscription you can by the box with 2months play time.
Assuming we can use the time code in the box more than once per account you can play Eve for 6 months and effectively have the other 6 months as free compared to a normal subscription.
Or you can split the 60days into two 30day PLEX's. So for the price of a normally sub you get 1 month and one 30day PLEX to sell.
But be aware only new accounts get the shuttle.

This was posted yesterday, which probably explains why EVE is now at No2 on the Play.com chart. Mine were put in the post today

Stuff like this goes to show how ******ed CCP's pricing system is whether they admit it or not. In some ways I feel happier that I somehow get some form of revenge by buying up all their retail copies before any new players get them.
After doing the maths I found I currently pay around ú13.50 a month to play Eve, plus if I wasn't for the fact I bought GTC's in dollars it would be more like ú15 a month which is double the price of what the box gives you.
I think I'll order around 20, oh and thanks.

Unless someone can confirm it but i was under the impresion you could only use those 60day GTC's you get with the game on NEW accounts.
I could be wrong but i thought i read somewhere on these boards that is what happend to someone.

I was wondering this too Iva and to be honest I still have doubts about it, I did put them in the above post but then removed it again.
Reason is it says in the description for the Eve box on play.com at 60 days usable by both new and current players.
It still didn't totally reassure me though as I thought the retail box was supposed to come with the 30 day starter only usable by new accounts and a 30 day they can sell for isk or use as extra game time.
Anyone with experience on this would be appreciated.

I will confirm it
you can use it , i used Two Codes which i bought from amazon
you just get a nice message saying you dont get the shuttle (like anyone cares)
if you use the 60Days to extend your game time

I can confirm that these work on existing accounts, ive been buying retail boxes from HMV and using the GTC in the box.

It's the Play shop, not CCP/Atari. If Play bought those boxes at buy-in price (let's take a very wild guess and say 60-70%), and play wants to sell them for less, that's their problem. CCP/Atari still made the money on their box.
I also find it ironic that you hear people whine about there not being enough new players, yet buy up on of the best opportunities for new players to get in the game.
