6 Year Anniversary Round
Round #157
Another year of The BIG Lottery draws to a close.
As usual we celebrate this in style - BIG Lottery Style, meaning some heavy duty insane prizes are up for grabs (see below)
The 6th year of The BIG Lottery saw us turn the incredible milestone of a quarter of a trillion ISK worth of tickets sold : 250B ISK 
It was also the year when The BIG Lottery finally got a prober URL : http://BIGLottery.BIG-EVE.com.
Bit more intuitive and easier to remember than the old one (which I won't mention, in order to avoid confusion)
The new URL actually also "included" a total rebuild of the The BIG Lottery website (Techie note: Upgrade from old-school ASP to ASP.NET -and a server move)
You probably won't notice much of a difference (a bit of changed text here and there is all) - And I'll take it as a compliment if you don't 
The BIG Lottery webpage style stands virtually unchanged since it was first launched way back in 2003.
I think it has born the years well, and I plan to keep it just as you know (and love?) it for the foreseable future.
What will year 7 of the The BIG Lottery bring?
More of the same of course - Lots and lots and lots of prizes.
One could hope of course, that they will be BIGger than ever before

Round 157 drawing : Monday, May 18th, 2009, 1800 EVE time (GMT) in ingame channel 'BIG Games'.
Important changes for the duration of the 6 yera anniversary round- Ticket cap : The ticket cap has been raised to 50K tickets (50M ISK) per character (not account)
- 25% bio link bonus : The usual bio link bonus is not in effect

Thanks for the gratulations.
I'll look into the issue with the receipt page.
(and that's rather annoying, as when I re-build the site for asp.net I specifically set out to make sure I would only have to update the cap on tickets in one place...)

hmmm - It should have worked (code looks fine).
Those of you who already noticed the error, have been manually (DB script) corrected.
Guess the config file value (for the ticket cap) got cashed...
I've done a IISReset, which hopefully means the new ticket cap has been read now.
We'll see - Let me know (both if it works and if it doesnt)

This is sadly rather common.
Thankfully the GM's, 9 out of 10 times, react extremely fast when it's petitioned.

We got 7 prizes in total.
Much more, and the draw *erherm* draws on forever.
So it's a bit of a compromise.
