I look at these forums about once a week and I've seen posts that talk about suicide ganks. I've heard of people using the Brutix as the prefered shiptype for the ganking. They claim to gank haulers with billions of ISK of loot. Sounds like fun. I think I'll try it.
So I spend a week and cross train for the Brutix. I buy a Brutix and fly around looking for a hauler. I find a hauler at a gate and he's AFK 12km off the gate. He has no velocity. I motor over to him and get within 500m of his Badger.
This is were I think CCP nerfed the suicide gank. I click "self destruct" and prepare for the suicide. The ticker says 2 minutes until self destruct. I wait next to the hauler for the big boom. The timer ticks down to 5, 4, 3, 2, 1,.....BOOM...I suicide. The hauler didn't die from my ships explosion. My Brutix is destroyed.
WTF...Anyone else having this problem?

Yeah, same here. You need to use something bigger.
Try a marauder or freighter.

I actually had a chuckle 
Long time on a previous char I too thought it would be cool to gank a hauler with a Brutix, but being somewhat overexcited I forgot to get close enough to hit the damn thing, fired off my guns, none of which hit and then got my insurance payout  . I like to think I am not a complete noob nowadays though  .
