I agree that there should be some sort of queuing ability. I'd say you could have a max length of 3 consecutive skill levels you could chain at any one time. Like if you started science lvl1 you could follow it with science lvl2 and then science lvl3, but this could work in unrelated skills as well. Basically I'm getting at there should have a maximum of 2 auto switches before you have to return. That way people would have to come on but not be a slave to the EVE skill system.

Skills are not going to be queued, nor are they going to be selectable by web, it will not be possible to train two skills on 1 character for an account upgrade, nor will it be possible to train 2 skills on 1 account. All these things have been discussed long ago and rejected. The skill system is in place for a variety of reasons, ranging from immersion to exploitability prevention.
In short, any changes to the skill system that simplify training to the point that the game trains everything for you, or allows you to train more than 1 skill at a time are not going to happen.
Ah of course. You know better than the players.
Well whatever.I'm with the topic creator. We need a skill queue now. "Hobbes, she stepped into the Perimter Of Wisdom.Run!" |

I know for sure that the upcoming version 2.5 of supersafespotbusterÖ by m0o will support skill queuing
so instead of whining here you might want to contact Viceroy for download !
beware - you will have to sing that Celine Dion Titanic song - but that¦s cheap for a skill-queue isn¦t it ?

You know what would help keep these ideas from coming up over and over and over again?

Apparently, you know better than all the other players too. The other we *DON'T* need a skill queue.
I suspect the majority of people wanting a skill queue are new to the game, where the bulk of training is in the first three levels of low rank skills. I understand that naturally people want to develop as fast as possible but patience is a virtue.
I'm only a month into my character development (although I have gained some experience and knowledge from the beta) and I'm not having much trouble keeping my skill training running constantly, regardless of my hours of play. Besides, if you're truly excited about rapidly progressing then I assume you want to play a lot and can easily change them over anyway?

So no long vacation for any of us in the forseeable future, then?
Current skill training is going to take 27 more days! How long do you go on vacation for!?!?!
Longer? Damn! You must be rich

This subject needs to be polled. I for one would like to see it introduced. All those that are against it - don't use it then.

You guys have gotten an official response, why are you wasting your time by continuing to post on this thread and harp on this issue? I know English isn't everyone's first language, but surely everyone understands "NOT GOING TO HAPPEN," right?
"The long and short of it is that this game, or any game, is either going to be a kindergarten where it's safe and cuddly and secure and you can play with plush tigers, or it will be a harsh place, harsh but interesting and interesting because harsh, where you must take risks to succeed and so must everyone, since victory is tasteless without danger." - Raivn Akhama

how about an implant for slot6 that let's you keep training the field your doing, i mean like u start training deep core mining, and with the implant fitted it will train to lvl1, e-mail you, then to lvl2, then e-mail again, all the way to lvl5
the implant would last for 2 weeks before degrading into nothing, it would need cybernectics lvl5 to use (to stop new players queing, but allow older ones to have a limited que type system) and also make those people who want this have to train cybernetics lvl5 to use it (people who don't want it don;t have to train 7+ extra days for lvl5)
just a thought :) |

If you lot donÆt wont a skill queue, then great for you donÆt use it
I donÆt think itÆs any big deal to just simply let skills carry on training to the next level, even if only for 1 level before you have to log on again.
Just makes it easier for peeps who cant always get on.

Like someone else said. There's a official response. No skill queue. End of story.
