I returned from shore leave today with a hangover as usual, but once I began to check militia intel channels before a routine combat patrol, my mild nausea was quickly replaced with outright sickness and disgust.
I activated my comm link just in time to hear Minmatar militia officers discussing a NAP with an Amarrian paramilitary corporation in an effort to form a joint op to engage a pirate fleet. I couldn't believe my ears, our own Matari personnel flying side by side in a fleet with Imperialist scum!!!
Chaos ensued, for several loyal and patriotic Matari immediately opened fire upon the Amarrians while the traitorous ignorantly yelled for them to cease fire. All communications soon broke down into profanity in various Matari dialects which i found untranslatable.
After the brief engagement, several Minmatar militia pilots cried in anger that anyone would backstab their Amarrian fleetmates. Well I say to those of you who arranged this fiasco, YOU are the backstabbers. You have backstabbed your militia, you have backstabbed your republic and you have backstabbed your people!
I ask all of my brothers and sisters serving on the front lines, where do you stand? On the eve of the very beginning of this war, I was in Auga in a combat fleet of patriotic freedom fighters. I knew even before then where I stand, where my line in the sand is drawn. My resolve has not wavered. I will not tolerate corruption. I will not negotiate with slavers while people are still in chains. I stand for freedom! Will you stand with me!? |

The Amarr Empire is, and always has been, the enemy. Throughout the petty squabbles and through the minmatar's misled aggression against my alliance, I can see the monster over the hill. I do hope the young freedom fighters in the militia will do the same.
Friends tell me that the Final Stand corporation today denounced the minmatar in favor of amarrian forces, because amarrians field more battleship hulls, and TFS are "battleship specialists". I must say I'm very curious as to just what that is all about.

Hail Kazzzi,
I was not there to my anger reading this but let me announce that all those in the Amarr Militia who cooperate with the Minmatar Militia or any Minmatar loyalist organization are traitors of the Amarr Empire and should be shot on sight. They betray the soil reason they joined the Amarr Militia and the holy cause they took upon them given by our Empress. Pirates can be nasty bugs that should be destroyed but never can it be that pilots in the Amarr Militia cooperate with the true enemy of the Amarr Empire. I will order our security office to investigate this incident so we know who not to fly along anymore in this already tainted Militia.

The Slaver should never be negotiated with! Kazzi is correct and any Militia members dealing with the Amarr to run joint operations are traitors to the Matari people. The Matari Militia will constantly regurgitate corporations coming and going but while in Militia stick to its principles and destroy the darkened Amarr Slaver.

And this is news. At this point the Heretics are probably the only Alliance that hasn't played the Minmatar militia. You boys need too Rally around the few good FCs you have "Bean Flicker and Frank" and get it done. As for TFS, lol, like I said, no news here.

As the FC of the Militia fleet in question I believe I can shed some light on the events of this morning. I formed a fleet in Amamake at or around 0130 this morning to counter the Pirate and War Target threat in the area. Soon after the fleet was formed my scouts informed me that there was a small Gunship Diplomacy fleet on the Amamake gate in Auga. I moved my fleet to intercept and kill the scum, but by the time we got there the gang had warped off to the station and were hugging it like scared little kittens. I warped my fleet to their optimals off the station and engaged the threat. The G.DIP gang then docked up. G.DIP began pleaing for safe passage in local claiming that they wanted to kill the pirates in the area, and I did not respond to these pleas. One of the members of my fleet said that he would allow them safe passage without my approval, so the G.DIP gang undocked and warped to the Amamake gate. I sent my fleet to intercept the slavers, and killed one of their battleships. At this time The Final Stand began crying out in the militia comms for us to stop shooting their allies. It turns that TFS was blue to the slavers! Amongst the chaos TFS started engaging friendlys! One of their battleships killed my scout in Auga, even though he was in the friendly militia. The Final Stand then created the greatest treason of all, The Final Stand left the Republic and has annouced their intention to join the slavers!
After this occured my sources inside the Amarr Militia informed me that TFS we now fleeting with G.DIP in general militia fleets.
Dark-Rising has set The Final Stand to -10.0 effective immediatly, and TFS members are Kill on Sight to -DARK. I highly encourage other militia corps to do the same. We must show these traitors that treason will not be tolerated.
As for the pirate situation, -DARK's policy is as follows. If you are an outlaw and not blue to -DARK, you die. If you are a Global Criminal and not blue to -DARK, you die. If for some reason you need standings with us, contact Mitch Taylor. I hope I made this clear enough.

Yet again Mirror proves to be a hypocrite, he says he has always been against the amarr, which may be true, BUT, when he was in the Minmatar militia, he too had joined forces with Amarr militia pilots lead by Angelico(i believe this was one of the FC's at the time) to engage pirates.

Was much better that way.

The Final Stand made deals with enemies who repeatedly attack Minmatar space and kill militia pilots, then got upset when noone else wanted to support it and tried to kill the hostiles in question. These enemies place spies in our midst and repeatedly try to disrupt operations. How can quarter be expected?
Such compromise in the face of adversity, as shown by TFS, only ferments weakness of the organization and gives cause for internal conflict. It is somewhat similer to the debacle caused by Heretic Nation offering blues to selective parts of the militia.
Our fleet made the decision TFS was too weak to make: we engaged our enemy.
Now TFS run away and embrace the Amarr with open arms... *** *** London Pub Meet 01/08/09 - Sign Up Now! *** *** |

The Final Stand proving to have the integrity of an average pirate, which they are, does not make your piracy, which it is, in Amamake any less piracy, or any more acceptable. You want to make this a choice between you and TFS, and so has TFS been trying to make it a choice between them and you. You both seem to fail to understand that the real loyalist judge you based on your actions, not on those of the other party of your pretty little drama.
Piracy combined with treason is might be worse than piracy alone... but that does not make piracy a-ok.

So, if that was not it, what exactly you think you did say that the Militia did not believe you about? Are you under the impression that the majority there were convinced that there is a particularly high likelihood that The Final Stand, a known pirate corporation with a known pirate attention span, has suddenly magically transformed to a respectable loyalist outfit, or what?
If that is it, then you should realize that just because people are in the habit of giving pirates second chances does not mean they are in any way laboring under the illusion that the majority of those second chances lead anywhere. We have enough experience - some of it provided by you, too - that this is not the case.
But there are some nice surprises, sometimes. Which is why second chances still happen.

While the Amarr are certainly our enemies and I take great pleasure in relieving them of their ships, I think there is still plenty of room for honour within war.
The pilots of Gunship Diplomacy were led to believe that they would not be attacked by the Minnie fleet; it is my belief that Dark Rising propagated this lie (correct me if I'm wrong) in order to trap and kill the Gdip group. In my opinion, this is sad.
Yes, we are enemies; does that mean we have no honour? Should we start arranging duels (1v1's) and gank the lone Amarr? Does that happen already? It is the same violation, to me.
I am WELL aware that there are those in Militia (on both sides) that will do anything to achieve victory, and I know this will continue.

I also was in this fleet. The fleets objective was to go kil a Caldari fleet that was moving in. We formed up in safe spots. We were told not to engage the Heretic fleet. Heretic's (and their friends Mortal Destruction) scanned us out of our safe spots and jumped us, twice. Both times there were blues to Heretics in our fleet who did nothing but watch, or run. The fleet then began trying to evade Heretics with the hope that we would still be able to engage the Caldari. The Final Stand asked someone in our fleet who was not the FC, for safe passage for Gunship Diplomacy, so that they could go and kill the fleet we were running from. Understandably, botched communication led to an incident were we fired on those coming to kill an obstacle in our way.
At this point, immaturity, ego, and general bad attitude led to a complete breakdown, where the Final Stand is seen as traitors and Heretics, who had been hunting, killing, and hampering militia ops all day with their friends, are now suddenly the good guys. Was Final Stand wrong for asking for outside help? Yes, especially from the amarrians. However, the militia members later saying they would have backed them up are the same ones who hid and ran from Heretics all day. Were the Final Stand the ones killing militia fleets using blue's to divide them? No. Additionally, the Caldari fleet was allowed to roam our space unimpeded, thanks to Heretics.
The real problem here is not The Final Stand, nor is it the Heretics. The real problem are the Militia members that have Heretics set blue. Heretics are simply doing what they have always claimed they would. No more, no less. You are cowards and weaklings that claim to defend your fellow militia members while running away from them when they are attacked. You talk of loyalty? You talk of brotherhood? This situation would never have developed had the militia's loyalties not been so divided in the first place.
Kazzzi, you weren't there, but it was disgusting to watch our militia stand by and do nothing while it's own fleet was being attacked, and then watch these same people lash out at others for being traitors.
I have asked many times, which Militia members have Heretic's still set blue. Surprisingly, the cowards keep refusing to answer. We are not blue to Heretics. We will never be blue to any corporation that attacks militia members without provocation. Anyone who does is a traitor. Pure and simple. If you stand by the strength of your convictions enough to allow fleet mates to be attacked while you stand by and do nothing, yet are afraid to publicly state where your position, you are worse than traitors, worse than backstabbers. If you will not watch your fellow militia members' backs when in fleet, at least do us a favour and tell us that? Can you at least have that much back bone?
And so I ask, yet again, who in the Minmatar militia still has Heretic's set to blue?

I hate to admit that but you got a point.
Now i dont want to discuss the part where amarian and minmatars were supposed to fly together but that part with ganking was not right.
If minmatar majority didnt liked it they should force TFS to stop the operation. And just intercept the amarrian fleet without TFS presence. Now with jumping to that G.DIP+TFS gang they left TFS in very bad position and they left Militia.
Personaly i think the destroying that G. DIP fleet created more problems for minmatars then it was worth it.

No one in G.dip has a problem with losing ships, in fact many members have a problem staying in them long enough for the paint to dry. As for the name calling, well sticks and stones....
If the roles were reversed i would have done whatever the fc commanded because im a simple ship commander, such politics are above me and i like it that way.
How do you measure fail? We do alot of killing and a little less dying. The true joy of my duty within the Amarr Militia is killing a freedom fighter and in their last few breaths in this world watching them realize how hopeless and unwinnable their cause is.

Kazzi, I still remember when we shot each other on a daily basis, when you where in 1PG/VV and I in GRD/EM. While I'm glad you betrayed aberration in light of humanity, you're hardly one to speak about switching sides.
Heretics mess has been covered more than enough, stating that "At this point the Heretics are probably the only Alliance that hasn't played the Minmatar militia" is sheer idiocy. There are Kill records and countless statements across many galnet sites to prove it.
EM held blues for a long while with Heretics while they pirated constantly in the militia. No additional comment is necessary.
Dark Rising struck a deal with Amarrians, and broke it. If you value your loyalties you should have never struck such a a deal to begin with. All you managed to do is prove your word is worthless.
Tribal Core has a blue with people actively hunting Minmatar Militia and blocking the Republic's gates for self enrichment and glorification.
TFS switching sides (again) after spending months voicing their concern for the Minmitar is disappointing to say the least. At least it was properly announced and dealt upfront with.
Amarr's G.Dip made the mistake of trusting its enemies and seems that said trsut was its only mistake.
Off all the people in this thread, and hurts to say it, Gangleri seems to be the only one with integrity.

I'm not sure I quite understand this fascination with "e-honor."
If they are your enemy, they are the enemy and you fight them as such. It's quite a simple concept...
That said, if the FC of a fleet isn't the one to make a truce/treaty/whatever, then why should he abide by it?
