I was in the middle of combat when this happened, will I get my stuff back if I lost it or is this going to be a no record of a problem message?

They will give your ship back, but no modules. And they will take the insurance back. That's how reimbursment works, at least that is what they said to me twice ("we aren't allowed to give back any module").

so we lose 100+mill in Modules and we lose 40Mil in insurance payment because of problems at their end?

My ship was faction fitted and Im not kidding. had 3 faction modules in the low slots, true sancha and i better get those back. I also had an alt in a t2 fitted drake only 2 modules where t2 but still expensive. I better get my stuff back and a ccp guy better reply to these post soon as im getting frustrated enough to consider wow and i hate the idea of running around with magic missiles instead of my cldari navy issue scurge missiles.

Yeah i know, happened the same to me, i went mad, becouse that kind of reimbursement is a joke, i had no fault, i escaleted the petition to a senior gm, but all i got was "sorry".

I want to know what will happen to the sc0rched earth viator I was about to pop in curse before this happened. Will CCP magically reappear it uncloaked in front of me when the server goes up, I don't think so and Even if it died why should he get reimbursed when he would have died anyway lol.
I may never find out what was in his cargo hold *cries*

When your ship gets destroyed and you are reimbursed, you get the modules which were destroyed when your ship popped.

Never happened to me, why they told me that they can't reimburse modules? It is a metter of GM then? I hope you'll get more lucky than me then, and i hope i'll get more lucky next time.
That's lame btw.

Edited by: Fer DeLance on 19/05/2009 16:24:21 I missed the party, because i was not online at the moment. I don't know exactly what happened, but if it was a server error that caused a crash, then along with your ships, the rats "crashed" too, so eventually, you will all find yours ships in one piece when the servers are back up.

if you're fighting npcs in a mission i think you'll just warp off anyways, i lost my internet connection last night in a mission and had warped off to a safe spot on disconnect, came back in and everything was fine except the npcs didn't agress me for the rest of the mission lol

Yes, you'll warp off, but not if you were warp scrambled at the time.

What about drones? They are lost, no matter what.
Fix them: allow them to warp with the ship.

it looks like it crashed.
so it probably didn't d/c everybody but leave the simulation running for a minute or so while they shut everything down like how i believe downtime does. ----------------------

Really I know they cant give back any dropped modules, but I thought the destroyed were returned.

CCP wont reply to a post - they just don't have the time to be everywhere and they need to concentrate on the petition queue.
step back - wait for the game to come back up - identify if there is an issue and then act appropriately.

/this
When you disconnect from the server due to isp related connection issues the server is still running so your ship has a chance of getting blown up if it was under aggro. However when the server itself crashes the simulation is stopped so nothing can be lost as nothing is running.

You lose modules that were not destroyed if you didnt pick them up. All modules that were destroyed with the ship get reimbursed, all mods that dropped do not. ___________________________________________ Haruhiist since December 2008
