It's kind of hard to justify giving lasers travel time, since you know, they travel at the speed of friggin light.
Methinks the OP is butthurt because he found out the hard way that his Drake has a big EM resist hole 
Atleast now CCP has a explainable idea how to nerf other weaponsystems even more.

weapons are supposed to be deadly not a bunch of ping pong balls and light shows.
all the weapons have been nerfed to the point of being useless.
and all we get is more nerf calls .

lazers are fine, even blasters are fine.. just large projectiles need a slight rework...

And CCP must create a high slot mod which, for appropriate module size / ship size will drain the ammo from victims cargo at a rate where after about 10-20 sec's all the ammo is gone.
OK I see how the op wants to make all the weapon systems similiar, lets do it, it will be great.

CCP can call the patch "Idividuality End" That way no-one can cry nerf cos were all equal :) What ya all reckon..one to put to the new CSM`s?

Just cause your Caldari and your poor shields just happen to have less resistances from lasers does not mean they need a nerf. On another note I hear they have a new exhibit at the zoo, a troll cage.. I suggest you go visit your brothers.

The last thing lasers need is a nerf. Infact, I think we're past nerfing weapons. They've been knocked around so much that they're all pretty much just slow ways of dying.
I say we all start flying small nuclear bombs. Whoever chickens out first loses.

Mythic did that very same thing with the Mauler class in DAOC and all 3 realms had them. Same stats, same abilities, different character skins.

PEOPLE STILL COMPLAINED ABOUT THEM!

and as for short range, it makes a huge difference when blasters have to sit next to you and lasers can easily kite them. minmittar have their whole fighting in fallawful but we all know how bad autocannons are

the flavor of upgrading the turret weapon systems to load/reload ammo as fast as a lens can be swapped out.

I cant ever recall making a nerf this, boost that thread. Why? I adapt. I started out as a amarr (my main is amarr) Amarr used to suck, and I was Amarr when it sucked.
I think passive drakes and nighthawks got a insane unfair advantage due to their extreeme tanks. I dont whine about it, we all had the same choices when we created our characters. I simply made another character, Caldari.
A while later i noticed that gallente got the best carrier pilots. I dont whine on the forums asking for balance, I make a gallente character. Do you see a pattern here?
If every race in the game was equal, pvp would be blob vs bigger blob. Blobbing would be even a bigger problem then what it is today. It is good that races got pros and cons.
Just my 2 cents
