Has CCP stopped their support for EVE?

Das Ende	Posted - 2009.05.21 00:44:00 - [1] Edited by: Das Ende on 21/05/2009 00:46:10 - ccp hasnt reinforced the servers for e-7 and area (both sides informed ccp) and so it was the laghell on earth last weekend - my last petition has layed around for nearly two weeks till i got a respond (and the respond was like "hey, forcefields are not meant to protect you from doomsdays"...wtf?) - EVE is unplayable cause of the gate-crash-bug in our whole region SINCE 3 DAYS! cant do anything except logging in, asking about the crashbug in the area, log off whats going on? did CCP have layed off their support team?

But according to Dithering Broon, the Saviour of the World, green shoots are beginning to appear. So, sweetie, just hang in there. They have a monopoly on a very new"ish" idea of mmorpg's. Name me another space game anything like this one.... if there was, thats where I would be tbh. However since there is not, we have nowhere to go. If this company was in ANY other field, like mine per say... They would have been shut down for negligence. But..... As long as we the customer have NO other choice for a space ship style online game, CCP can laugh as long and as hard as they want at us. WildCat

Obviously you like the game? I know, you are saying there are NO other space MMO's right? So you think CCP is sitting there in Iceland thinking, "muahahaha, we are the only space themed MMO, let's screw our customers !!!" You just remind me of a toddler that cries when his mom buys him ice cream because it's not his favorite flavor. Seriously man. I've played other MMO's. There's nothing out there better than this imo, and that's why I play it. If you seriously are THAT frustrated with their "shoddy" customer service, maybe it's time for you to move on.

WildCat Its funny because if you go on any MMO forum in existance your going to hear this ignorant thing there. Blizzard only cares about money!! SoE only cares about money!! SquareEnix only cares about money!!! they don't listen to customers11!11! Stop taking things so personal. You can't make everyone happy, you can't make everything 100% perfect, and if you stop taking everything as some personal attack maybe your life will be a little bit happier, because I assure you they are more concerned with fixing the bugs and resolving the problem then dealing with your incessant whines and ego.

Cory Sopapilla Minmatar	Posted - 2009.05.21 19:25:00 - [24] I see what Wildcat is trying to say, but it's quite a bit more complicated than that IMO. I ended up playing Eve after getting tired of WoW screwing over ice mages and wanting me to run the same stupid instances 500 times to get a piece of gear that would be obsolete right after I got it. Their biggest mistake was that you couldn't just cross train to offset their "balancing" changes and you either had to live with it, start over as another character, or quit. PVP/griefing only had the risk of having to walk back to your corpse if you lost so it wasn't thrilling at all. Hearing about cross training and wide open pvp options in Eve is what brought me here. Major kudos to whoever made that happen when developing this game. That being said, I think some people are overreacting a bit with the rages about bugs. Bugs are expected when venturing into new frontiers of development and will be squashed. Give them time.

Cors It's A Trap	Posted - 2009.05.21 20:06:00 - [27] It's the 2 weeks folling a major patch. Their Petition que is probobly QUITE long. As for space games, Jump Gate Evolution will be out "soon", they're doing friends/family beta now, and normal beta should be this summer. Theres also Black Prophecy, which is still in development. It'll be done "soon" as well. I'd say late 09, early 2010. And in the future theres also Infinity. Now.. None of these will be like eve. They'll have abreviated economy's, less convoluted production, less death penalties. They'll suit some folks. EVE will most likely loose a double digit percentage of it's users. But then, conversely, the new mmo's will loose some of their users to EVE as they bring in some new folks to the mmo market. If EVE had twitch based flight combat, I'd never leave. as it is, my days in EVE are numbred. Unless the new mmo's are complete crap, then i'll stick with EVE and my 5 accounts.
