Ore something more suspicious? 
I was flopping around looking for a hauling job when I noticed a large blob on the map which looked promising. After arriving in the system I discovered to my delight a large mining operation in need of my services.
The operation consisted of around 14 ore more ships, mostly armageddons clustered very close together around cans in three distinct groups with supporting industrials.
Usually when I set up my hauling, I choose a moon, grab as many loads as I jetcan and dump it together at the moon as fast as possible before my clients spring into action with their own ships to prevent me doing too much of the work.
Strangely these 14+ ships did nothing at all, they continued mining happily away till I was noticed on the 3rd load. Usually by this time I've been called a ******, ********, or ******* **** **** **** or worse but local was eerily quite.
So I asked quite politely:

You know, I wonder if CCP would mind if you made a macro for miners that would work on the outside, but secretly would send a message to a certain character, informing them who is macro mining and where. Then when the person finds the macro mining op, says something in local like "Can I have your ships?" which would actually be a trigger to make all the people with the macro to eject from their ship so you could take them .

I personally would Report him to CCP.
They can and probably will do a check on his accts.
If they ALL come back to the same email address and CreditCard # he should be banned especially with all the isk on Ebay these days.
P.S. I Always report suspicious looking mining ops as I feel they are a real slap in the face to the rest of us loyal players.

That's your complaint? Mabye they were all complaining in gang chat. Mabye there WAS one guy with a $300 / month bill going to CCP and he's madly tabbing through 8 clients. Hell, mabye with so many battleships mining, the ore you steal is so little they don't care, except in principle...

Cantrypp, I'm not going to get into the pros and cons of ore theft other then to say I really enjoy stealing ore (wierd I know). I can make much much more mining myself but thats boring.
I'm not passing judgement in this thread, I just found the whole thing rather interesting. Its quite impossible imo to control 14 ships, carting ore out of system if your only one person thus I figured it must be macroing.
While you could be right about everyone staying in gang chat (its very unlikely though, people can't help themselves most of the time you take ore into possession), I found it strange that at least 6 of the characters I listed were created on the very same day 04.02.02. There are a few other telltale signs these guys are all the same people (lack of last names, duplication of some names, same corps, most in newb corps, all using the same battleships, all neatly arranged into identical little blobs of 5 or 6 around the belt, no individualisation).
And he didn't deny it, he just told me to petition him.

Okay, valid points.
BTW, not complaining about ore theft. Can't be defended against with jetcans, so people do it a lot. You want to, and considering the number of people that have told you off, if you were going to stop you would have.
Of course, I build tubes of secures around belts, mine in an indy, or mine in .4 or lower. All good defences against theivery. I'd only get hit in .9 or 1.0 systems going after massive amounts of veldspar or something, and with the sheer volume available, I just move a few systems over and continue. I am one of the people from that op,
Some of those accounts are mine and some belong to housemates. At the time the ore thief showed up 5 of us were playing. We saw her there but comenting on her being there is pretty foolish esp since the idea is to kill the ore thief. Also the amount she could steal was insignificant. We sent out two guys to get ships made for killing ore thieves but they were way up in Yulai. They went to go get the ships and the op fell apart. We DON'T macro mine. EVER.
One of the primary reasons I personally dont' talk much is becuase I run 6 to as many as 12 accounts on two computers. I dont' have time to read that crap. Smack talk does little good anyways. I have been petitioned many times by people claiming I macro mine, and frankly I am damn sick of it. Even now my wrist aches from flipping from account to account to pull out ore. Calling me a macro miner is insulting. BTW I was running all the haulers and 6 of the miners in that op, though none of them were under the name Sius.
Same as was said in local, if you want to be a pirate be a pirate, if you want to petition do it and shut up. If you want to harras take a hike. So far 2 people have harrasment warnings on their account for maliciously harrassing large scale ops composed of "too many" alts. None have actually gone to the forums to make their case.
Mining tritanium isn't really very glorius, but in the main it USUALLY helps with avoiding scum who are more interested in seeing if they can insult and hurt your feelings than having a good fight or a fun game experience. Like the person who made this post.
Oh that reminds me. Most of the alts we use for mining are out of corps to avoid war with every 2 person Alt corp that thinks we are a juicy target. We mine one jump out from stations specifically to avoid stripping down systems that smaller corps need for basic minerals.
P.S. If you have a alt capable of flying a BS with rudamentary mining skills and you would like a large stable regular operation to mine with give me a msg in game. We have always got something going on and soon we may be the largest supplier of low end minerals in the galaxy. Currently we produce an average of 50 million trit a day or so and are capable of shipping it to any station with a refinery.

Now maybe Infinity Ziona, it was the sheer fact your efforts at stealing represented about 1 minute of mining to them and it took you 5 minutes to make the jumps.
Moving the op of that size would probably have taken more effort and adult as they are, realising shouting in local would just excite your feeble brain all the more, they just kept quiet, maybe even having a good old laugh in corp chat about your efforts.
You were in effect a parasite they could live with.

I don;t see a problem with it. It's like life, adapt like I do, get a dome, max out a mine in less secure space. You become a miner and rat hunter in one, whatch that isk role in.
It is better to die on your feet than live on your knees.
