The first time I ran Blockade in a dual rep Dominix and aggroed EVERYTHING. And it was only a level 3! Had to warp out a ton of times. lol

Edited by: Empyre on 03/06/2009 05:19:45 haven't really had fun on a L4 in a long long time.. but it pays the bills.
edit: there is something satisfying about flying straight through a L1/2 in a frig hull and blowing everything up before you get to the other side, though.
what the crap just happened? |

Once when I was flying a Worlds Collide l4 I let 1 Gurista Battlecruiser survive in the last room to not complete the mission. Then I went there with a Kestrel, speed-fitted and wanted to test if I could kill this BC with my t1 frig - unfortunately, I killed him faster than I expected and the mission was completed. He couldnt do much to me due to my high speed and small sig ...

The first time I did Blockade.
Only time I did not risk falling asleep during a mission. |

Why so many weak "misshuns r booring" comments? Why post in this thread at all, if that is all you have to say?
Generally, the most fun I've had in missions is whenever I managed to squeeze in a little more effective dps by sacrifincing a little more tank, looking for that lowest margin of survivability. Like, back when torps went 80+ km's, the first time I managed to solo mass aggro in Guri Assault with 3x BCU and crappy skills, that was fun. 14% structure left, so there was lots of margin
Or, when my Domi was popped the first time I tried EA 5/5, and then I came back in a new domi, with my alt in another Domi, called Eir, and tanked all spawns at once. That was fun too
Setting new personal bests (PB) that's always fun, and over the years there's been quite a few of those. Last one was breaching the 9 minute mark for Pie Invasion. Haven't really attempted any PB's since then.
Some day it'll be the fastest time with the least amount of players, to complete the toughest C6 mag/radars, that will give me my PvE fun.

Did a Level III in a 'cane, don't remember the mission. Got down to hull damage and before I warped out it started burning. So I'm jumping from gate to gate to get to my base station, every time I go out of warp the flames catch back up to me and my ship looks like a flying Olympic torch going sideways.
I can just imagine other players staring at this idiot with a burning ship, moving around like there wasn't a 3km long trail of fire on his butt.

Edited by: Ghoest on 05/06/2009 14:39:56 When I saw my isk flying back after old Blockade I was happy.
Also doing lvl 3s in an inty back when it was the only T2 ship seemed a cool at the time. |

In think the most fun I've had in a mission was running the Doll missions for that crazy *****.
Other than that, the only fun I've had was missioning in low sec and having to actually pay attention and be ready to gtfo. |

Because many (not me ) feel like forced to run them forever and find it boring. |

When i first started doing rat patrols, and nailed my first faction ship, and it drop a implant, i didnt know what it was worth, till i told a m8t and he started cursing, he'd played for 4years at that point had never got a implant that was worth 278mil dropped . hehehe, then over the next month i received 3 more of the same, a four month old player who only played 6hrs a week, and i had over a billion, lol still ticks him off. |

Recently jumped into a friend's Amarr mission feeling a little over confident as I'm so used to Angel missions.
Delayed putting the repper on and there were still a ton of BS attacking when I started hitting structure, fortunately by that point I was in range and finally got to see what could be done with AN Multi when not against crazy resists.
Was rather nerve racking watching the rep cycle / structure bleed through decrease, but very satisfying. One thing I learnt, leave the Jakarta ( IIRC ) to the end if you're trying to decrease incoming DPS because they rep like mad.

Edited by: Saint Mikkel on 08/06/2009 18:26:36 If your seriously sick of missions, I'd say give exploration a try. I've never run anything over a L3. I do hi sec radar/combat sites, and low sec radar/mag sites, all in an AF.
Exploration is like the Forrest Gump "box of chocolates", you never know what you'll get. I've spent 5 hours non stop scanning out sites and ended up with a total of 20MM at the end, and I've spent a half hour running one hi sec combat site and getting a faction tower bpc that I sold for 240MM. Not sure of what my long term average is, but I'd say somewhere in the 20MM/hr range. When my skills are higher, I'll start running the low sec combat and all 0.0 sites where I'm sure my money will be a lot higher.
The point is the build up in anticipation. Will I find some good sites, or have they already all been farmed? Will I get a no drop, crap drop, or a OMG drop? Take the routine nature of running missions out, and put in some uncertainty.
