I wonder... Server crushes, right... 0 people online, about 30 thousand people pretty mad, probably 50% of them were doing something meaningful to them. Server will go back online eventually and.... here's the question of the hour:
How will server react when about 30k people will try to login simultaneously? :)

The sever being down scared the **** out of me cause we just have a HUGE thunderstorm pass by and i feared that it had knocked out the local connection thingy to the EVE server and the stupid thing wouldnt figure out another route to connect and id be stuck EVE-less until they fixed that ISP thingy
but u al made be feel better seening its not just my area....its EVERYONE

Awesome, I thought it was something difficult, like giving away all my ISK and assets. I'm glad I don't have to do that. Oh, and for those wondering, you'll have to petition your missions to be reset, otherwise, all is lost. Including standings. :-)

i completely agree..it should be at least 4 days..only reason i'm about to run out is because just started a new skill..it'll finish lvl 3 in about....oh....30 minutes >=/

I am new so forgive me if this is a stupid question.
That said, this is really bothersome as I was warping from gate to gate in not so secure space, now I have been waiting for over an hour to get back on and get back to a dock just so I can go to bed but am I supposed to just wait endlessly or sit there when it comes back up like a target and take the loss from CCPs server problem? This is a major problem to my thinking, crashes and discons happen but I will be dammed if I am gonna be either stuck waiting till it comes back to get out of harms way and log off or just take a big loss because I couldn't
What is the deal here?

Well every system any character of mine is in on two accounts is stuck please try another character or try later.
So the whole of caldari and amarr space is stuck....

I know during scheduled downtime wrecks disappear, but do the also disappear in the event of something like this? Don't know if there was a deliberate process that was run to clean them up or if wrecks were just forgotten.
If they do get dropped, I wish I knew that before running that WH site. :(

Well, got in just to see the "All gates closed " spam. I was on my way to sell my salvage so i can afford the silly priced plex. No joy, no isk. I have till tomorrow afternoon to sell and buy or its forced hiatus from eve for me. I was able to retrieve my stuff and dock at the closest station. 20 minutes of spin the ship and epic gate closures. time for bed.

I'm sure there are plenty of stories like this, but this is my story:
I had one ship left to kill in level 4 The Assault (Serpentis) when this all started. The mission has completely reset, and I'll have to start over. I started the mission at 20:54 eve time yesterday, working it in a Harbinger. It's now 06:15 eve time. Unfortunate. A pocket of salvage lost. 5000+ mission points lost. 7 solid hours of effort. I'm not complaining. I just want to share my ...story.
