1: Cant find a research facility.
2: Cant find office space to rent for my Corp.
3: Minimum Sell quanities (lame).
What makes matters worse, is my first two issues, can only be discovered after traveling to the station, "great more wasted time".
Ok, so now I'm hoping that some educated pilot will reply and tell me that I'm doing something wrong, cause I cant believe these issues are by dev design.
Is there anyway to tell if a system has these items (1 & 2) available without having to travel to that system?

Well chances are, if I have to wait till November for these to be addressed, I will get realy tired of 'zzzzzzzzz drag drop, zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz drag drop, zzzzzzzzzz drag drop' because game play elements make it very difficult to do anything else.

Oh, well, I dont blieve things like research facilities should be handed to me, however, making long several jumps just to find out, they are all taken, again, is just lame and not an element of gameplay that makes me want to keep launching this game.

Press F10, click "laboratories" then you see all the stations with labs in them. Choose one a bit away from the big systems, then go there and see that there are free slots! Jippie!

something you're doing wrong. I found a Office and 5(!) lab slots in a station only 2 jumps away. With a very little amount of time.

Lab slot issues aside, I have to disgree here.
What's wrong with players who've paid and played for hundreds of hours over the last 15 months or so having an advantage? They've gotten it because of the effort they put in over that time.
If people played were all equal all the time, it wouldn't be much of a game.

One area you might try for an office is near the system of Halle. There was opffice space there some time ago when i passed.

1. well, cant help ya there, i have to fly 16 jumps to my 1 lab slot in a 0.1

1. Labs cost over 3k per cycle now and will continue to increase in the foreseeable future so expect those hoarding labs for no real profit to start selling soon.
2. Offices cost over 30k per cycle now and already the market forum is seeing a lot of ôOffice Clearance Salesö. Your best bet is to evemail the ceo of the corps in the stations your interested in. Its becoming less and less efficient to keep lots of offices you donÆt use, so shouldnÆt be too costly to get an office you need.
3. Minimum quantity buy orders are essential in certain circumstances. If I place a region-wide buy order for minerals, its not worthwhile me flying throughout the region to pickup mere 30k units of trit at every station. There has to be sufficient quantity to warrant me travelling x number of jumps.

Isolo, you can get lab slots. Make an alt and plant him in the station your trying to get labs at and check everyday. I got 6 lab slots in less then a month doing this. So I know it can be done, plus there are plenty of in the more dangerous areas, just have your ship equiped to be there and you'll be fine.

Amin, great reasoning behind issue #3, that makes totals sense to me, now I understand why that would be in place. However it seems that could be the draw back of a player only market. I should be able to sell my Minerals to NPC factions, at a decent price maybe?

Isolo, I recently left a corp that I was with since the beginning of Eve and started my own. Allow me to suggest a few things:
1. If you have not already done so, start your own corp. Even though your name suggests that you like to be a solo-type, acknowledge the fact that if you want to get anywhere in Eve you must either have multiple accounts or multpile members working towards your goal. Eve is not a game where solo members have an advantage over corporations, even small ones.
2. Do not search for office space and R&D slots near Yulai, you will have a hard time finding them. Search is places with 0.1-0.6 sec status. Take a weekend and fly all over empire space, check EVERY research station. Of course it's boring but office space and R&D slots are out there and ready for the taking.
3. Once you have found an R&D slot in a station, say one here and one there, populate them with BPs for longterm reserach and visit them regularly. I got 6 slots in a single day because some noob didn't pay his bills or his slots were left inactive for a period of time.
It's not easy, but I did it . . you can too . . it's a boring job but current game mechanics make offices and R&D slots rare.

Go to the outer space regions, there are plenty lab slots avail. they only handycap will be, you will have to "risk" a little more.....
Don't ask "can i have your stuff" because i'll give it to everybody else than you! |

i cant sell my little bits of minerals now :S
