This game IS too soft on challenges.
My accont is maybe.. 4 months old? I've owned 2 battleship. First one got blown up with no insurance.. spent a week doing 'stuff' and bought another one (a raven), insured that.. now i sit in empire doing lv3 missions all day.. yipee
back up to millions and ive hardly played at all. I think I worked the hardest trying toget insurance and it maybe took me 2 days?
ammo? I use toerpedos.. 1/2 mjolnir, 1/2 juggernaut.. I have no problem using them on frigate/cruiser NPC rats in lv3 missions and I still make a hefty profit.
If I worked at it I could have another battleship in a week.. thats using one of those most expensive ships in the game, fighting frigatesa and cruisers. Once you get a battleship the money rolls in easy as hell..
for the record, i hate the idea of being taxed.. it just doesn't work in a game like this.

I know, but you need money to do anything in the game.
and im enjoying LV3 missions right now. I went from hardly being able to handle a few cruisers in missions to being able to take most on with no problem.
just pushing my point that battleships are too inexpensive to maintain :) heh.
