Time to clean up unused ships/mods CCP?

Well not really lets look at it this way..There are always flavour of months ships and mods that people constantly fly and fit (becuase they are the best at what they do) until CCP nerfs them, then nobody uses them Take for instance...Vagabond, with polycarbs everyone flew these becuase they were very fast, excellent for gang and solo pvp, at one point the ultimate ship.. Speed nerf comes in Polycarbs pretty much now unused. Falcons, excellent for jamming, long range everyone had them in a gang, nerf comes along, no one really uses them now, well not as much Nosferatu/Pilgrims setup again everyone used this setup until the nerf, ppl stop using pilgrims And so on and so on..My point was once CCP nerfs something it ceases to be used throughout the years, so they become almost obsolete cos people use the next new thing.. There are sooo many mods for each same purpose its untrue, surely there must be 30-40% of mods that very rarely get used. Remember everyone goes by the 'recommended' ship fitting. so you would only be using a certain amount of recommened mods..others wouldnt get used. I just dont think you need 8 different variations of standard type mods (not t2, faction, officer) to do the same thing, I know there is power/cpu differences, different ships etc, but people just dont use them, purely down to people going with what every one else does, and the ships/mods to use for that moment, until som ething else comes along. And im sure there are plenty of ships that dont really get used.. I know you cant just remove them from game, but it would clean up the market and the clutter lol

Tommy Zhang Zhang Tactical Reclaimation	Posted - 2009.06.12 23:22:00 - [42] To be honest I would rather CCP spent their time eliminating the Isk sellers, revamping 0.0 and low sec and fixing various other problems then waste time working out what mods nobody uses and which ships are obsolete. The Eve environment is made richer by the multitude of often useless modules you can put on your ship. Personally I would rather see 4 more of everything then anything taken away. If you start taking away modules and ships, you take away the personal choice and experimentation factor that some people enjoy. Whats next? Only a minority of players actually play in 0.0 space and lo-sec so we'll remove that as its obsolete.

Oh and fix tracking while you're at it. There is always plenty of highslots on drone ships, and there was not enough capacitor for at least another one medium energy transfer and that tiny benefit from small energy tranfer helped me keep my Raven stable in a certain fitiing of Raven and support Dominix. Such situations are rare but they do happen...

But yes there is many modules that are just reproccessed into minerals (that is why traders buy them) But price difference do make difference sometimes, because u may not be able to buy the best module. [Burst, Playing Around] Expanded Cargohold II Micro Shield Extender I [empty med slot] [empty med slot] Miner II Miner II [empty rig slot] [empty rig slot] [empty rig slot] Can't fit any MLU, but the yield from those lasers will probably fill the cargo hold each cycle so you don't want both lasers ending their cycle at the same time. Extender's optional since there's no way to fit any tank with 15 spare CPU that I can see.

Tormentor, Bantam, Navitas and Burst are mining frigates for newbies, so they only could be used for mining (noob mining) or maybe cyno, and nothing else... I use a Hawk to knock out L2s when I'm on a standings grind, it's got a good cargo bay and ammo is always easy to find. This as compared to railguns, which usually demand vast quantities of some obscure hybrid ammo that nobody sells outside of trade hubs. The Procurer definitely has to be on the short list for most useless ship in the game though.

How hundreds could be useless? Then everybody fly not more then 48 ships? Lol. Even I with all my alts already used at least 68 different ships.
