Fixes log on/off gangs of bothersome alts, fixes logoff under fire tactics, fixes the lack of territorial control.
let the ships warp a couple million kilometers away upon logoff, but please let em remain in space so there is risk to it.
so if your internet goes down for 24 hours and you lose a ship because you couldnt log back on and move?
and if you get stuck and for some reason dont warp and ur ship is stuck on the gate youd be happy about that as well?
i know i wouldnt
You do realise that insurance is in the game for situations like that right? Insurance does not exist so you can safely do irresponsible things but it exists to compensate you if you lsoe something through circumstances you could not prevent.

Persistent ships is a must. However to accommodate those who NPC hunt 46 jumps from the nearest station (and where the hell do you put your loot?) I would introduce freewarping.
What will this do?
1) ships are persistent. If you know they are in the system you can go and search for them. 2) if you don't know they are there are you really going to scan the systems extensively? With freewarp you would actually look, not like now where there is no way to hide outside scanner range. 3) freewarp would need to be balanced a bit though so maybe keep the systems within 400AU in size. After that you leave the solarsystem and something in deep space damages your ship. So you can go there but you can't stay :)

There are also many many people who agree with a more persistent game. I can only play the game so much time a day and all this logging off makes it impossible for me to have fun. Because when i get on i'm suddenly surrounded with 50 hostiles, as soon as i log off they log on to their alts. But during the time i cant play my corporation has well in control of the area so with persistent ships they could keep the area clean and safe.
If CCP doesnt change the game to allow me to play then i'll quit.
There you are. Now what?
