Did a lot of missions for Marketing (at Roden Shipyards). No exact data, but it is about 95% courier, 5% kill. |

Originally by: Trell Artela Perhaps my memory's letting me down (as usual) but I thought the mission type ratios depended on both corp and division. That's what I understood from the info Papasmurf had released around the time of first castor patch deployment (which was, granted, about 10 months ago)
So an Internal Security agent for Core Complexion should give you more courier missions than an Internal Security agent with the Republic fleet, for example.
There's no conflict here. Command and internal security are generally departments that only occur in 'military' corps. Does Core have an internal security department? I'm pretty sure Lai Dai doesn't and Core is the same type R&D corp.
Also, for R&D departments, they are not mostly courier. Having gotten 4 months worth of missions for one of my Lai Dai agents, I can say the ratio is somewhere in the area of 50% courier and 50% trade (bring me <trade good>, science grads, homeless, etc) with a tiny % of kills (have gotten 2 from that agent so far).

Great, I'll correct that:
R&D: 50% Courier, 50% Trade

i was under the impression that agents randomly selected preset missions from their portfolio's (if you will.. meaning they have only certain missions they can give out...e.g. mining agent wont give you a mordu's mission)and that the type of mission you got was based on mostly luck but also had to do with the certain agents given position in that corporation as well as the player's standings. with so many variables you guys are doing a good job. being anymore accurate would be too time consuming and wouldnt justify the shear amount of work involved. keep up the good work.
other than that i have no relevant information. =( ---------------------

I wish I knew as well. Just trying to correlate the division type to the mission type.

If possible can you give the mission types from a level 3 agent?
I don't think it would matter, but I appreciate it.
Also what type of courier missions? Where they large courier missions (3km3+) or small (<2km3)?
Thanks. Look forward for the final outcome.
My guess is that its 95% Courier and 5% Kill or Trade...we'll see.

How does that data compare to agents in the same division across different corporations? How does it compare with agents in the same division in the same corporation? Or with agents in other divisions of the same corporation?
Agreed with what Skarsik had to say about JP getting all fluffed up about this. You can moan about the methodology all you want, but at the end of the day the posters are putting more info out there than was available before. Yeah, it might vary depending on faction, corporation, phase of the moon, but I kinda doubt it.
Thank you so much for this thread, S'Daria! I was wondering what "surveillance" agent gave for missions.
you know. i just had a brilliant(?) thought: why don't i just make a new character, fly around failing missions left right and center and collect the info...course, i wonder how many times you can say, "stuff it! i don't want that mission" to an agent before you can't even talk to that corp's agents. (but still...might be worth it just for the efficacy)
I'll start collecting data between my different "sec/int.sec/intell/legal/surveillance/command" agents over the months and i'll get back to you on this.
As for the 'but every agent has a specific portfolio' argument (thought probably technically correct), i'd have to say this is a great thread simply because it's a summary...and when you're a n00b here finding a good place for a specific mission type is soooooo invaluable.
thanks again. ______________________ Best darned links ingame and out (backup) |

Interesting idea. However, I think the agent will stop giving you missions after your standing goes below 0.0? Can you standing go below 0.0? Hmm...gotta try this. Great idea
