Just install the client from scratch and run the updater - make sure you don't alter the default place where it is pulling updates from. The eve files location is where I have placed the update for now. |

I'm getting this error running an item report with items grouped. I haven't updated to the new release yet.

I downloaded EMMA onto a Vista system, and the first time I started it it worked! I made a new account, added my APIs, and enjoyed the shininess of a NAV report and Item report. Then I closed it and did other stuff.
When I opened it again, it had decided that I smelled funny. It lags for a bit and then crashes. I uninstalled, re-installed, and now it won't even let me make a new account. Moreover, it has the cheek to spew out the following errors. The first one is from a popup that appears, and the next two are from the exception log.

There are some known incompatibilities between MSSQL2005 (used by EMMA to store data) and Vista. What you see there is that the DB is seen as "read only" (probably a false message indicating something else) and thus your user cannot be added. If you are knowledgeable you can debug and fix this issue, else all you can try to do is to patch .NET to 3.51, launch Emma as administrator or at least with "run as administrator". Failing both, you may try and uninstall the thing as administrator and reinstall it (and later use it) as administrator
