Me and some friends in a chat room were having a discussion about concord and how they work. We can't come up with a definitive answer. 1- If you shoot someone in Highsec and then cloak, what happens? 2- If concord arrive do they decloak you before killing you? 3- If you get away in your (stealth bomber?) do you get a ban for an exploit? 4- If you get a ban, why is this avoidance any different from a -10sec criminal wizzing through highsec in an interceptor? (I'm sure I've seen it done, but correct me if i'm wrong)

1. Concord prevents cloaking 2. See #1 3. See #1 4. I wizz through highsec in BSes and BCs. It's easy as cake tbh. Nanos and stabs <3. Concord only handles GCC not negative sec. The local police handle that. ------------------------

Concord do not chase people with negative sec status, they only bbq people with a global criminal countdown. People with a very low sec status are chased by faction police, which can be avoided if you are quick.
Avoiding CONCORD is an exploit, if you gain a GCC in highsec you MUST lose your ship. People with a GCC cannot cloak in highsec, concord prevents it. -------------------------------------------------

Even if, for some ******ed reason or coincidence, you somehow got away from Concord after committing a criminal act, Concord would chase you (appear at your next location). Now, if again you were to run away somehow, they would just keep chasing you. If you are able to outrun the wrath of Concord and get away without getting blown up, you've exploited the system because it's not supposed to ever happen. ┌----------------------------------- Kojee -----------------------------------┐

Edited by: De''Veldrin on 19/06/2009 20:32:09 And if, somehow, you did manage to slide past CONCORD and escape, then yes, you would be using an exploit (regardless of what it is). The GM's have repeatedly said that avoiding CONCORD's wtfomgbbqSUPERpwn is an exploit.
Whether you get banned for it is another matter. I suppose that depends on if you get caught.

You can't avoid CONCORD without either ban or ship destruction. It exists to punish players who have incurred GCC in high sec, so CCP wants to ensure you get that punishment. |

A little bit of clarification:
Gaining a GCC and warping off before CONCORD arrives isnt an exploit.
Suicide gankers sometimes use this to ensure thier ship is popped in a safespot so scavengers cant et to the wreck easily.
You are only avoiding CONCORD when you prevent them from destroying your ship when you have gained a GCC in Highsec. That is an exploit.
EDIT; In the case above they pop you the moment you drop out fo warp.

Last time I was trying to get through highsec I discovered that even faction police jam your cloak when you try to sneak through.

incidentally. one thing that i have wondered but never tried is: what happens if you gank someone in high sec and then eject?
does concord pod you? do they destroy your unoccupied ship?
further, can you incur a GCC in a Nightmare and then eject and board a punisher before concord shows up, sacrificing the frigate to satisfy their bloodlust? |

please don't ask the GM's or moderators for constructive input they are much to busy skrewing up the ability to post and hunting down anything remotely entertaining and deleting it

they destroy any ships that you own on grid.
so you could have been concorded, warped to a POS, and get all of your ships therer blown up. |

I heard that happened once, they just shoot straight through the shield.
As for warping around before concord blow you up; in a frigate it's possible
