My (6 month Empire) perception is that I prefer a Goon dominated EVE to a BOB one. BOB wanted to conquer everything,Goonswarm is more about the fighting - if they don't have a worthy opponent they will fight each other rather than seek out unhealthy wars. (Not that they won't reform instantly when challenged.) If there is no major 0.0 war, I expect High Sec to become more dangerous as the goon gankers return. |

I've been digging around for answers as what was the outcome of the 0.0 Wars with the Coalition Forces battling Bob and others. The evidence I've found thus far is that Bob is no more, the Coalition Forces won, but now they are turning on each other. Who actually controls what space, who is fighting who, and the general state of 0.0 sovereignty is somewhat amiss? I've yet to find a good, accurate, up to date power block map since CRII stopped updating from Battle Clinic.
I too would like some solid info, war stories and the like, the IN as some would say, as what actually happened. Eve Videos and news reports only give you so much information. I personally would like to know more. |

I think until napfests and Sov mechanics/pos warfare is fixed, 0.0 will remain owned by the few giant powerblocs that own it now. Barring the occasional fail of an alliance here or thier. |

Quite possibly ignorant, and I was open about that. ATLAS, that's a BOB associate? So you're more knowledgeable and more biased. |

Edited by: Hyveres on 20/06/2009 15:04:17 From what I get off various forums none of the major alliances will contest each others holdings even if they reset.
Meaning they might roam about a bit and add to their killboards but they wont attack infrastructure. "Subtlety is a thing for philosophy, not combat. If you're going to kill someone, you might as well kill them a whole lot." - Vulcan Raven, The Last Days Of Foxhound |

where can a complete outsider keep up to date on what's going on in this war? COAD is useless propaganda and i was wondering if there was a reliable EVE-related news site where they posted updates on this, and other wars?

This state of affairs will be highly unstable. The major powerblocks may enjoy a brief vacation of ISK making and roaming gangs, but - depend on it - something will happen to get the cap fleets undocking again within a very few weeks.

Yeah right, as soon as they are setup properly in Delve and Querious they'll be roaming everywhere destroying everything.
Goons will be just as bad as BoB, the only thing that kept everything else calm was the fact that the two biggest *******s in the game were killing each other.
Expect the Barbarian hordes coming to a POS near you.

goons will be WORSE then bob.
BOB simply wanted good fights. They would come out in waves. They'd attack a region, alliance, coalition, once it was destroyed, they'd pull back to delve for a few months. Then do it again in another direction.
Goons on the other hand, are out to control everything. They don't understand, that by forming these monstrous coalitions, they DESTROY good fights.
Almost everyone who lives in 0.0 understnads that POS warfare is boreing. Unfun. Almost everyone would rather do small 30-50 man gangs with BS's, BC's, HAC's, Recons, and so on. They're more fun. They produce more "Good fights".
Goons will continue trying to take over 0.0. They're next target will most likely be AAA, RedOverlord, and Atlas. I see Atlas being the first target simply because they're more vulnerable as an alliance on the leadership level. And goons would get more assistance from folks on the eastern side of the map.
Trust me folk. You Don't want goons haveing a secure delve/querious as a home base. They'll have too much of an isk income, your T2 ships will rise in price due to Goons market manipulation of T2 components/moon mats. They'll be going on offensives all over 0.0, attacking the largest forces first. If they can destroy the larger alliance's, who's to oppose them.
