Maiwenn LeBesc0	Posted - 2004.09.19 15:49:00 - [31] ok, so lets all put 5 or 6 100 mil isk cruisers 150k away from the battle. lets put them away from where they will be protected. lets forget these things mount no weapons. and then, lets all be naive enough to suggest that a frigate or 2 wont go and decimate the defenseless 100 mil cruisers. these cruisers are not worth 20 mil isk. 4 billion isk? die of acne.

Too much time to manufacture even 1 ship, lots of components that only drop from crappy agent missions and then the limited availability of BPO's(that's a good thing)... These things cost an arm and a leg and I would never pay 100mil, just on principle mind you. You cannot even place them too far out of harms way as many ppl think... 37,5 km is the max range you have to be from the target you want to repair armor (with a medium remote armor rep+ship bonus) Sooo....warp in, repair 1 cycle and get the heck out is the only viable strategy in pvp or you go pop! If they change something we'll see... although you can count that someone will indeed buy it for 4 bil

Tsun	Posted - 2004.09.19 19:01:00 - [39] well guys, you know this is not only about the usefulness of those cruisers. i do think they are very viable and cool (and i would love to fly and use one of those, i've always liked the priest / cleric syle). but the most important fact are those freaking skill requirements. You have to train for around 2 months (lucky guess now, but a f*king long time) to be able to fly those, and even someone like me, who would like to fly them, can't be bothered to spend so much time. This means you will do VERY hard in selling those ships because there will be very few potential customers, which means it will simply not possible to earn an investment of 4 billion for this bpo back in a reasonable timeframe. this is the reason why so high prices are paid for frig bpo's. they can be sold alot better :D oh and btw, the harpy bpo was sold for 6.1 billion (and no, my corp didn't buy it sadly)
