So lets discuss which mission aint worth doing. And include a little reasoning behind why not. Can also add if you salvage or not.

I make around 1m ISK/minute on that one where most others are in the 600k-1m area (with a few others better or worse). Recon 2 is one of the worst, but Recon 3 is actually fairly ok.... This is measured when you kill everything, and loot and salvage everything....

g0ggalor	Posted - 2009.06.26 00:27:00 - [12] I skip The Score because of the 100km trek. I usually skip drone missions b/c I don't salvage or loot. I'll skip faction fighting missions, storyline or not. Most other missions I don't like I'll simply blitz.

Its a 1-3 min mission to undock, warp etc for a small 18 mil worth in rewards. Of course I'm fairly new so keep listening to those telling you that bounties where the isk at ...

Last time someone used the strategy of running piles of recon 1's, they claimed they were getting around 60 mil isk/hr which is 1 mil/min. I don't really buy it. Recon 1 doesn't grow on trees. You have to keep trolling for it. I used to do similar activities (running maybe a dozen courier missions an hour) and some days, I'd have a couple of recon 1's to do. Once I had four recon 1's and a couple of quafe runs with roughly 50% to 100% more LP per mission than the poster above. At the time, that was 3.5k to 4k isk per LP (with some time added for buying appropriate tags for the LP gear, another hidden time sink). Life was good. The problem with obsessively running recon 1 is you have to maintain minimum standing with the desired corps (in additon to a very high faction standing). That means at some point, you need to run a bunch of some sort of mission to raise the standing back to a usable level. That's downtime from your isk minting machine.

And we dont want to do them do we? the keyword is: BLITZ you don't kill a single thing in recon 1, 2 or 3 1 and 2 should be done in a shuttle 3 in a fast cruiser with some tank. i personally have a stabber just for that mission. fast enough to get it done before it pops.

Aagainst opposing factions - no bounties, beside only thing keeping gallente from shooting me is high level of diplomacy anyway.

Buzz Kill; the new buzz kill isn't that bad, it is now worth 7mil in bounty and you can do it in 15mins, its not great by any means but much better than it used to be. The Score; as long as you throw an AB on your ship this mission literally takes you travel time to complete, this one takes 14 mins for me. I don't like doing this mission but i normally end up having to because i've turned down a few factions and can't take anymore standing hit. Massive attack; I really don't like this but in a CNR the ranges arn't bad if you put on a SBA or two, crappy mission but can be done quickly if you have a long range ship. Recon: Unless you get the guristas version your a moron if you don't like these. I get the angel one and it is worth a easy 11mil bounty. Also, parts 2 and 3 may not be great but they take 4-5 mins each which isn't great but at the same time that still counts toward your mission count for your next storyline which is nice. Silence the Informant: This isn't a great mission but for some reason i absolutely hate this one. The missions I like the best: Blockade (this is my absolute favorite) AE The Assault Gone Berserk Recon Slave Traders (Really quick 2 parter with decent bounties but good LP) Pirate Invasion Damsel Mordus Folly (I just blitz 2of2 for the LP)

As for people avoiding The Score and Massive PHAIL i usually run these in a Navy issue omen, that way it makes them a little bit more fun. Of course I'm fairly new so keep listening to those telling you that bounties where the isk at ... lulz, atm I can make a little over 5000 isk/lp selling the particular item irdia has in mind :) That particular module is being sold at a much higher price over all regions atm.....

I've been missioning in hi-sec, and the volume turnover is actually quite good. On a good day I have converted about 60,000 lp at the above rate. I dont mission anywhere near that amount and even doing the courier missions (do all but low-sec and faction missions) its still close on 10,000 lp/hour plus bounties/mission reward/bonus/loot/salv that I get with modest skills - no marauder and not even t2 turrets. When I buy tags, its like 5-10,000 at a time so a trip to pick them up once isn't that bad as you convert like 600,000-1,200,000 lp for 1 trip getting tags. I include the cost of tags as they have a buy cost as I sure dont hunt them down. When the tag prices increase, so does the sale price of what your converting the tags to. If anything, less tags about makes more profit as the markup increases. I do courier my items to market so thats about 1 trip every like 250,000 lp too. I could courier less than this, but it works for me. Doing so much couriering (picking up the tags, deliveing product to market) - can see why the experienced would avoid it as its just so much time and effort ... and couldn't be as profitable as bounties. I dont mission with sisters of eve, so there are several items out there you can make good isk from lp with. If you get down to it, blitzing level 4 missions for lp will return better isk than grinding them for bounties if you pick a good agent. Too many 'experienced' players have the 'I'm experienced so you not know what your talking about. I'm not belieivng you 'cos I'm more experienced and I know more than you' attitude. I've put some volumes up to illustrate my lp conversion. There are about 20+ players that I see regularly selling the above item I convert. Its the low numbers of them which helps keep prices up. As mentioned the sisters of eve have an item - its all about find an item and work it. The 3500 is a conservative figure. I have good tag stocks so actual conversion atm till I need to replace the tags is around 4800 isk/lp - still 8000 tags in stock ...
