One of my last Bug Reports have Status already:

 Fixed in: Rubicon 1.0

As i think, it is internal build... When we will see it? When will be those Dev Blogs that were promised by CCP in General Discussion?

P.S. Just as Rubicon appeared in Bug Report i thought that it's not long waiting, that's why I ask...

I guess Rubicon made its appearance shortly after TEX aka Apocrypha release (as following internal release tag) or even prior to that (as some kind of branch).

Rubicon is an internal release name that will probably not represent any expansion. Like Longhorn vs. Vista, you see.

So basically, you'll abandon a perfectly cool name for some marketing blurf, like ms did for vista? :(

Rubicon is a river where the bloodiest battles in all of human history were fought. I've been told that more people have fought along this river than any other battlefield on the planet.

I have a mate who has collected several skulls and various bones there last fall.

Well before the exact details of the next release(s) are determined we need to create placeholders in our project tracking tools, hence the code names. "Kali 1", "Kali 2" and "Kali 3" became Revelations, Revelations II and Trinity. "War" became Empyrean Age. "Midas" became Quantum Rise. "True Exploration" (TEX) became Apocrypha. Originally by: Kadesh Priestess I guess Rubicon made its appearance shortly after TEX aka Apocrypha release (as following internal release tag) or even prior to that (as some kind of branch).

So in other words rubicon could be your codename for next expansion or merely a placeholder for something in between, perhaps like a boost patch.

The name Rubicon strongly suggests a major/dramatic content/gameplay change which cannot be undone once unveiled.

Indeed, and afre I have been to 4chan, that name sounds a bit... off.

If you look at other CCP placeholder names, they all related to the planned view of the patch (except Midas, because they eventually canceled most of their industrial plans, but they originally planned them).

With that in mind, I'd suggest Rubicon probably has something to do with Sov/0.0 changes, as it will be large, not able to go back, and effect empires.

I have a feeling it's gonna deal (in part) with the caldari thumping that gallente has been recieving in FW.
 http://www.eveonline.com/news/newsFromEve.asp?newsID=3126

although I wonder how much FW lag had a hand in that.

Because Julius Ceasar dared to cross it with his legions (it once marked the outer boundary of the Roman Empire) and by doing so effectively declared war on the Republic. Julius Ceasar did so alone - ahead of his legions - placing himself in considerable danger and so we get the phrase 'crossing the rubicon'.

According to last dev blog, there should be bloody awesome sovereignity changes... When i say bloody i mean deadly...
At least i believe in CCP. (I hate those pessimistic whiners, well not really hate they give me some reason to write another post on forums, and it's good for me (as i think) that i can have such a reason from nothing) -------------------------------------------------
