If it was un-intended, then ccp would have fixed it by now, they haven't, so it's fully part of this game we play, so for the love of god stop crying and get over it.
Hi, I'm a pos reaction bug, please fix me.
Oh wait.

Yep, your inexperience is showing. You don't yet have corp level standings setup so you CAN join the minmatar side. I suspect we'll see you on the Amarr or Caldari side since that's what your standings would yet you do.

"Unintended" by whom? If by BoB, that's irrelevent. No one intends to get screwed over--- scam victims, victims of corp thievery, etc. I have yet to see where the ability to do what was done was a possibility that was "unintended" by CCP.

You have claimed that CCP, in their wisdom, never introduce the ability to grief unless it is indeed intended.
I have merely pointed out the most recent instance where your claim is utterly rubbed down and shown to be a shiny piece of whale ****.

Incorrect. I said that CCP has not stated anywhere that I am aware of that what occured in terms in "game mechanics" with the BoB alliance was "unintended." I'll admit that perhaps I worded it poorly.
Some people seem to be under the mistaken belief that "it's not supposed to work that way."
You have seized upon something I didn't say to make a point that has nothing to do with the topic at hand. The vague and very general instances I listed were meant only to show that just because someone gets "done wrong" using "game mechanics," it doesn't necessarily follow that it was "unintended" or an exploit.
Now, we can wax philosophic about the (in-game) morality of these actions, but that isn't the in this case, either.

Originally by: violator2k5 i believe you mean several of the strongest alliances in game. (dont get a big head cos i said that)
Well their side was a lot better coordinated, and made a LOT fewer serious strategic errors (f.i. staying camped in a station for a month) - yeah they had some of the strongest alliances in game on their side, more importantly they were firmly there and willing to commit and move assets to the theater, -A- is stronger than any of the alliances on goon side (with possible exception of goonswarm) but they couldn't be bothered to move capitals so far from home..
Quote:
you may be right about them being more commited due to all the anger issues a lot of them perceived towards BOB and how they continued draging and spining the same old record time and again. even when the pos ammo bug was first noticed by goons their first reaction was "oh noes bob has another dev that emptied our pos guns" just to add more fuel to the fire when that was not even true in any way shape or form.
I wouldn't say that was why they were more committed, or even particularly relevant, but yeah they were more committed whatever the reasons.
Quote:
However even though they were more commited that does not make them better.... surely your alt army has spies in some of their corps that you can clearly see that for yourself from checking their corps/alliances forums and how some of those so called commited alliances were actually wavering too on a member base level mostly. so your claims about them being better in my eyes is rather fabricated as im sure many others think that too.
Sure most of the alliances KenZoku were up against were inferior to them, but the coalition fighting them was MUCH better coordinated than BoB's side ever was (you could see this when the fighting first moved to Delve when numbers were approximately equal and GBC fleets kept getting massacred on warping in right after the KenZoku fleets warped out, coordination was terrible.
Then there were the serious strategic blunders I mentioned before, allowing themselves to be camped into a station for a month "biding their time", taking cyno jammers down at the worst possible moment, costing them important systems, abandoning Period Basis and then changing their minds and trying to save it after telling people to abandon it...
Even getting a GM to break the rules and rename their alliance was a serious mistake, with negative effects on their own morale and image.
KenZoku was the central alliance in their coalition and responsible for coordination, morale and overall strategy, they failed miserably and I think it's entirely fair to say the other side was better than them, but that's just my opinion *shrug*

seeing the back of yazmule from BNC was the best thing imo, especially because of how he degenerated while still maintaining his emorage. also if you got camels make sure to keep them locked up away from him
Originally by: Tyrrax Thorrk abandoning Period Basis and then changing their minds and trying to save it after telling people to abandon it...
I doubt they were really trying to save it as i believe it was more about getting the fights then anything else for period basis.

I think that was more the GMs fault for not sticking to the guidelines and pointing out what needs to be done instead of changing the name. you can always spot the fresh gms as they would rather cut and paste their automated responses then actually go into detail about anything lol
