God dammit stop it please.
After getting hold of some really good t3 subsystems I listed them on the market drooling at the prospect of massive returns.
Example, Regeneration matrix made for 170m and selling for 350-400m PER ITEM.
Only say 5-8 of them on the market, but what does some fool do?
He gets a nice buy order filled for 6 of them. AND LISTS THEM FOR 279M isk. Slashing over 130m off the value of the item. So if he sells those he's potentially cut himself out of 130,000,000 x 6 = 780,000,000M isk.
Why do that seriously wtf, they were selling at rip off prices now they're slowly becoming common rigs.
I hate all you guys, I really do.

Edited by: Galactic Tycoon on 27/06/2009 13:06:45 I can't, they don't sell that quick but in my experience someone buys a t3 item from me every day.
It will also accelerate their own turnover and they'll put in buy orders right after selling.
Risk is too much but I'm entitled to betch about this.

Prices are changing for t3 due to the patch changes. Expect demand to go up whilst price drops.
As the bottlenecks are reduced, salvage sitting unused will be converted to subsystems and prices will drop initially until the new bottlenecks are established.

How do you know he didn't just manufacture them and is selling at a "good" markup instead of a exorbitant one ?
The build cost for subsystems is around 70 mil, selling for 279 is a perfectly fine market strategy.

Yes, yes you are. But, if you are going to perhaps you should consider a change of name

Given that's it's going to take weeks for new sellers to get established and glut this market, could we have some more drama in the meantime? I mean how how are you going to maintain the mansion on New Caldari with these meager profit margins? Put off that nightmare purchase for three weeks? I want to see tears.

I know this isn't the same scenario, but I'm supplying a highsec station 1 jump from 0.0 with bombs at jita prices, after i started doing that the amount of sold bombs in this regon has increased almost 10 fold.
And yes, i could have earned a greater profit if i had done the .01 isk thing, but the demand wouldn't be the same.
Lets do some quick math, buildcost and taxes at around 15m pr batch, i sell a batch at around 20m, yielding a 5m profit. however i could sell it 40m, and earn a 25m profit pr batch.
Yet, I'd only sell 1/10th of what i do now, so the profit pr day would in essence be + of what it is now. |

Actually T3 was already ruined out of the box, so I guess they ruined it more?

You are aware with the update on Monday they changed some needs and out comes of the T3 ship production; which, in turn will reduce the price of T3 hulls and subsystems? Are you sure these were buy orders or someone selling them a bit cheaper now since they can produce more with the same amount of materials?

Patch ruined T3? All depends on who you ask. The increase in supply will decrease price, which in turn will increase demand.
Increased supply means you might not be able to sell a single item for 350-450m each, but you can sell four of them for 100m each. Your competitor seams to have figured it out.

Hmm...there's at least 2 threads about the changes to T3 pricing, a major patch coming out (or went out) and you start a thread *****ing about T3 price crashing without doing any ****ing research yourself?
No, sorry, YOU grow up. Seriously, do some reading yourself otherwise you're just a troll.

T3 data cores have dropped in price by an order of magnitude in the last couple of weeks, making reverse engineering much cheaper. Drop rate changes suggest, to me, that they're going to drop even more (data core drops will exceed data cores needed to reverse engineer all wreck drops).
At the same time BPC's per reverse engineering attempt have increased from 3 to 20 (iirc) for the good relics.
TLDR - You chose a really, really, really bad time to get into the sleeper component business.

Until the sharp increase of production make up for it, and a new equilibrium point is reached.

Yes, he did.
I suspect most competitors who bothered to keep themselves informed deliberately abandonned the T3 market for a few weeks, purging their stocks of components, and that it was for this reason the OP was able to make such profits. You don't need to wait in line in a theme park when there's a forest fire coming close. But then you'd better not complain when you get burned... ------------------------------------------

Suck what up? Someone earlier in the thread said the guy selling at much cheaper prices than me had "figured it out". Nonsense. If he sells at 50m less than me, than I'm going to HAVE to sell at about tha tprice to and make a sale. Given the extraordianry profit margin in t3 ( before patch) I'm still going to make profit even coming down to his level. What he's done isn't forsight, he's simply forcing others to sell at his price or content with selling low. But this isn't a real business, him selling lower won't put me out of business lol. It will just reduce my profit and his....
There's nothing to suck up, I'm still making easy sums of isk. My only point was that some people were kicking the market in the teeth for no real reason and in the process vastly reducing the profits for everyone in that marketplace. I'm more of a trader than thinks for other traders. I keep an items price as high I can for as long as possibly, meaning everyone gets to eat the higher profits for a longer amount of time. But then someone lists something several mil off the lowest value and other follow suit and we're all worse off...
I just don't understand why someone would do that, no matter what you;re selling in Jita it always sells fast. People are always going to match their lowered price meaning they may no longer be top of the pile in the orders, so whats the point...

Really? Well **** me. Sorry for not browsing the entire market section just to make YOU happy. There's no harm in me making another thread. What kind of idiot gets upset about 3 similar threads on a computer forum? Lol get a life mate, how you can be so emotionally sensitive?
You know instead of being a total idiot, why not say, you know what buddy theres been 3 threads already. Here's a link to them. This would have been more helpful, stopped further posts in a thread that appears to be annoying you and prevented this stupid conversation.
In your bid to stop trolling you've just gone and bloody trolled yourself.
