Yesterday i got my 4th tech2 BPO.
1st- Micro Shield Extender II 2nd- Medium Shield Booster II 3rd- Small Shield Transporter II 4th- Energized Reflective Membrane II
Now, before you start whinning, I have Research Project Management Lv 5 so i have 6 R&D agents.
4 of those are in Caldari Starship with 30.000 RP each and i didn't received nothing yet.
Although some of these BPO are preatty crappy i feel myself lucky.
I'm wondering if there are even more lucky guys than me.
Best Regards and i sincerely hoppe that the guys that didn't received nothing yet get one soon because it feels real great.
OH and BTW i'm still against this lottery science, even if i got 4 BPO. I will still be against it even if i had 200 tech2 BPO. The lottery sucks Selling Raven BPC ME20 3M at Yulai 1st Station |

I have to say, and it's a point most starship/weapon researchers seem to have missed, you certainly picked the right field.
Not naming names, but a certain field which all those could have come from seems to be below average on researchers and above average on bpos. Most of them are pretty useless though.

Edited by: Xavier Arron on 21/09/2004 14:09:20 Since im out in 0.0 I therefore cant do agent missions.
I cant be bothered to train an alt upto lvl 3 agents either, mainly because i find agent missions pretty boring tbh, and i cant handle anymore transport garbage from station x to station y missions.
However there are peeps out there with multiple alts all with many agents - or so i hear - so potentially with 18 R&D agents on 3 alts improving your chances greatly, who knows what some peeps have got?

Edited by: Joe on 21/09/2004 14:22:49 I reject offers of crap Bpo's that i don't think are profitable, like signal amps, micro smartbombs etc.
It's quite interesting to see the Agents Responses' of 'I didn't think this was worthwhile...'

Edited by: Fuse on 21/09/2004 16:13:02 This is what I think of a Random computer lottery system. Here is an article how computers do NOT generate truly random numbers. Most lottery systems are total crap and any of them can be exploitable. The title of the article is... Random Numbers Why they arenĘt and shouldnĘt behttp://www.pyaray.com/articles/random.htm Supporters of this lottery system do not know wtf is really happening here.

Edited by: Mynobe Soletae on 21/09/2004 17:08:45 You don't know how they seed it. It would be really dumb to use the same seed every time. For all you know, they could be using some truly random combination of the system time and the number of apocs on sale on the market for the seed, which would then have the random number generator generate fairly random numbers.
The article also doesn't say what happens when you use the system time to seed a sequence, generate 100 random numbers, and then use the 100th random number as a seed for a new sequence.
Generating random numbers is possible, otherwise the whole casino industry woulnd't exist.
How about a game: they generate random numbers for you, you have to guess, and if you don't, you lose 1 ISK each time.

If I get close to the guess can I get one million isk back? Maybe CCP can add a comment here to resolve the dispute. Even if you do computers are not capable of randomness in a true way. There was something on how to exploit the non random nature of computers that I read I am not saying that CCP is deliberately doing it this way or that way. I am not saying someone is exploiting here. Err maybe I should not have put my last post in bold . People that make money off of the Casino system know how to work the system. Casinos have a list of banned players that know how to count numbers. The Casino analogy is NOT valid here. 0.o It's not you... no wait it is you. |

Grats man, you are lucky.
The lottery is the fairest and greatest item distribution ever in a mmorpg, I'm so glad CCP is using it. (Time to puke at the sarcasm there.)
