CCP Abraxas is well-known as one of our most prolific Chronicle writers, so it shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone that he's written a novel! EVE: The Burning Life, the second EVE Online novel, will hit bookshelves this November. You can learn more about this exciting new novel by pointing your browsers here.

I look forward to this with hope leavened with no small amount of trepidation. I do have to say I am happy that it is Abraxas that is writing this one. I've hopes it will be less space opera and more Eve. --------------

The ISBN 10 (0753817683) for the Orion Books version is wrong. The one given is for Steve Martins novel 'The Pleasure of my Company'
The correct one is 0575090162
And the ISBN 10 for the paperback is 0575090170

i imagine this will be one of the Hottest announcements for the FanFest with the host saying how tech and art finally merges beautifully in a +200 pages work of art, but i need to raise a voice of concern and ask: what about ambulation!!!? give us some info! When, Why and How!

/a small winge so pls bear with me
I'm really looking forward to it and def. buying the book, but could we please have a larger paperpack than the last one. Not in volume, but the pocketbook sized paperback is just annoying. It's nicer to read the larger sized paperback. I know this is the publisher's choice and CCP Abraxas prob. has no say in it, but if someone could make the request I would be very grateful.

Just finished Gonzales' "EVE: The Empyrean Age", and loved it. Looking forward to a book by Abraxas; he always does an excellent job on the bi-weekly short stories.

Reading the first book now, I'm about 200 pages deep. I thought it was funny they put Roxor in the book. So far its a good read and keeps EVE on my mind 24/7. Who ever thought reading would be fun??
I'll be buying the next EVE novel

Edited by: Mintoko on 06/10/2009 04:49:24 Amazon states it's on pre-order for a 3/10/2010 release. Orion books says 2/18/2010. Who has it in November?

I just did a search on Amazon.co.uk for "EVE Burning Life" and it resulted in both the hardback and softback release date as 19 Nov 2009. I know at least one Xmas present I will be getting this year :)
ps The result also threw up a paperback version to be released on 12 Aug 2010, and other hard and softback versions being released on 2 Mar 2010. But hey, I am going to be optimistic and go for the Nov release dates.

Did the Empyrean Age novel inspire the expansion, or was it the other way around?

I'm pretty sure the release date has been pushed back to March 2010. I've got it on order from my local book store and they informed me that the date got pushed from November 2009 to March 2010.

I think the novel may be published in the UK first before it's release in the states: http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/0575090162/ref=nosim/authordatabase
Anyways, that's where I put my pre-order in.

I loved the first book and I very much want this one. But I am crossing my fingers that there is a Kindle edition. Since I was able to get the first one on Kindle, I'm guessing this one should be possible as well. I'm just also hoping there is not some long delay after release in order to get it digitally.
