Once engaged they jumped in a Hyperion and Domi'o'noobfit (y'know, the plated neuting domi of multiboxing goodness), and took out the Abaddon. I don't believe Creator232=Mzr for the simple fact that for the most part Creator kept his mouth shut which as I see now is something Mzr is not capable of. When he lost his Myrm he just said gf and left it at that. After* they killed the Abaddon, Mzr immediately got a severe case of mouth diarrhea and began talking smack like he had just overcome insurmountable odds and defeated bulimea or something. As far as whining about you copying our tactics.. well, they say imitation is the best sort of flattery, so thanks. The area that they have ensconced themselves in isn't worth the time and effort to roll. At least not within the realm of 'worth it in terms of isk generated per week'. Unless they really manage to peeve someone off who doesn't care to do anything but squash the area flat. And even then, replacing all the fixed assets covering the area in terms of poses etc would not run into too much cash (in the billions, for certain, but not too many of them). Mind you that's just what Mzr's alliance has back there...There are a few other poses running advanced reactions belonging to several russian entities just one jump off highsec. (If memory serves, like 4 or 5 large towers dug in really tight that would be a pain to take out). My memory's a bit foggy about that, its been a while since I scouted all the moons to see what's in there. So, its unlikely that even if they ** off a large entity, that anyone would come through and stomp on them. Though I'd sell popcorn to watch it since being wished rather ill . Mostly because its math. But, the essential question is..where is the isk going. Or more specifically, during the whole time that Session9 has been mining their area, doing joint operations with the rest of the alliance in the area, getting help to remove POSes etc, was any real isk sent back to the former alliance members? In chats with some of the former heads of corporations in the area, the answer is for the most part no. For those of you following this. You'll know that Mzr runs a pos network. And while I was part of the corporation, I helped with fueling, maintaining etc these beasts. Its not fun work by any stretch of the imagination. Big hauling, weekly or bi-weekly to bring reactants in, haul the finished reactions out, fuel the towers. And setting the towers up themselves is a pain. But, it can be profitable. Take for example a section of the tower network owned by Session9. Just two towers. One tower produces Caesium. 100 units per hour. Pretty spiffy. You take that Caesium over to another tower that you haul Cadmium to (that you buy on the market because you have no access to a moon that produces Cadmium yourself) and react it together with the caesium. This reaction every hour produces 200 units of Caesarium Cadmide. Now say that that moon also produces caesium, with which you can run a second reaction for another 200 units per hour. Now, let's say there's a medium minmatar tower and a large gallente tower sitting on these moons. Now for the sake of argument, let's say that the towers are maxed out in Grid and CPU to make the fuel costs (if one were to just buy the fuel in Jita, for example) a nice number to work with (mostly because I can't be arsed to calculate the ratios of what is anchored and online at the moons). Each hour..a large gallente tower eats: 450 units of Oxygen Isotopes 150 units of Liquid Ozone 150 units of Heavy Water 4 units of Enriched Uranium 25 units of Oxygen 5 units of Mechanical Parts 8 units of Coolant 1 unit of Robotics A medium minmatar tower eats half of those numbers, substituting Hydrogen Isotopes for Oxygen Isotopes. Add 200 units of Cadmium per hour. And using current Jita prices..that comes to: 1.9 million isk per hour to operate. Our final output, 400 units of Caesarium Cadmide yields: 2.3 million isk per hour at current Jita prices. So per hour, we get 400k profit. And if we assume that all the fuel costs are borne by mining ice (Which it used to be, no clue if its done by mining at this point) We're up to about 650k isk/hour. That runs 24/7 without interruption. So weekly we're talking 65 to 110 million a week. Now, if the rest of the moons are running at approximately the same profit level. Let's call it at around 250 million a week. So about a half a billion isk a month for hauling time only...and if ice mining occurs, up to a billion isk a month. Not too shabby. On top of six copies of...whatever blueprints they are running off monthly. (Usually around 100 million-ish per copy if memory serves for the freighter prints.) (Never did this math while I was in corp, didn't really care that much tbqh) But I'm doing it now simply to ask..where does all that Isk go? It doesn't seem to be going to buying GTC. First time I was half ass paying attention and got to close to the station which uncloaked me and they blew up my bajillion isk buzzard. Then they killed my Mallalicious with an Ishkur, Istar, Megathron and Falcon. Thank god I wasn't in something bigger I think they were out of alts to log on with. Later on in order to face me (in a geddy), and Zed (in a nemesis) with a single Megathron and Typhoon they had to enlist two remote reppers and a handful of pets to nudge bump and push me off station and blowt up my geddy All in all at the end of the day I had to finally admit to Zed that he was right. I kept saying that no, these guys are for realz hardcore pvpers and all want is a good fight, they can stand on their own and will undock without 3:1 odds in their favor. What I finally had to admit to Zed and myself was that they're a pack cowards using rehashed tactics that were old in 2005... as such, war will continue but on a... well... stay tuned. Both sides in this issue should ask themselves that question, and then there will be a real winner. Both sides will know the answer too, without help from each other or anyone else, or this forum. So I've got this dominix hull...it's insurance is going to run out relatively soon, so a fight or two would not be a bad thing... On my way to go get it...I actually run into Mzr. We're both in ishkurs, so he offers a 1v1...a hell.why not...Get blown up. sigh So, back to the original plan. Hop in the domi, set it to 'travel fit' mode. Because otherwise its was horribly, badly, fit. And head back towards Alentene..because for some reason T2 stuff seems to be cheaper in the environs. Now, for those of you who don't know...travel fit usually means 'a crap ton of warp core stabilizers and as big a buffer as you can fit. And head off to fit the world on it. When I get interrupted by a gate camp..fine..blow thorugh the camp. My, there's an awful lot of them in local. And here's where things get silly. I have insta-bookmarks for the area..some of them are rather..old. And apparently someone turned a station during one of the patches. So my nice confident insta turns into fireworks central....I still made it out..but that insta is not so instant anymore :) So, no more taking a chance on a old station insta being good until its tested. Okay, so no docking to refit for a while.. And I'm in a system full of hostiles, with a 15 minute aggression counter so logging in space isn't exactly a smart idea. So what does one do when one is in this situation? Its time to lead a conga line! A bit about the topography of the area. In lower Verge Vendor right next to placid there's a bunch of circles, twirls and loops. So I start cycling around one of the short ones. I'm being deliberately slow about it, because I know at this point they don't have enough points to nail me down, and I've got enough of a tank on here to eat whatever they're going to throw at me until I get into warp. So every system, I get a bit of aggro from one or two of my persuers...Giving them jumping sickness... So, I've got a conga line of wartargets spread throughout four systems. And...take a spur out...double back...go around the loop in the opposite direction. I've got a member of the teeny tiny space pirates (Hi guys!) Reporting on the population of Leverage Inc in various systems as I troll around.. The benny hill chase music blaring in the background. When...'Hey, there's a HIC coming in'. Right, that's going to ruin the party. So it's time to er...I beleive the term is tactical withdrawal. I actually meet up with the hic on a gate...but he decides to jump through instead of hanging out on the gate with me.. so I double back. (Its an onyx, so not likely to have anything in the mids other than the tank-o-doom..so I've got some time to peel out towards lowsec..not the loop..that would probably be suicide at this point.. But the actual dangerous area of lowsec placid. I've still got a tail at this point so I make a point of making sure they know I'm headed to Covryn (Just off Stacmon) Jumping blind because hell..who needs a scout!) Typically, nobody follows. Or you bought them, but you never fitted them, it's all the same. He doesn't make it difficult on me as he shows up on a gate with me (thank goodness) and locks me up while at really...really close range (Not a good idea for an arazu...at all) So I lay into him, and thankfully he lays right back. (Maybe hoping that I'd gone and done something stupid, engaging in a vexor while on a gate... killrights are a wonderful thing) I'll give him one thing..that was a much tougher arazu than I was expecting. Tough enough that a Demios showed up mid fight and starts laying into me...Against the gate guns. Right. (They don't call them die-mosts for nothin) The arazu pops and I wheel around for the demios...its not looking too healthy with the gate guns and I'm hurting rather badly.. half armor. The drones have already decided that the die most looks tasty, so lay on the scram, a web, the guns, and pray. This time the gate guns decide that his drones look tasty and aren't shooting at him. So again, its taking a while. But eventually scotty's cousins, Daryl and Daryl, decide that the diemost looks tasty enough to shoot at and he goes down. Right, local's starting to cruise up. Something else battlecruiser sized or bigger is shooting at me..and Mzr's just showed up at the gate. Time to bail. Hit one of my random bookmarks and...wtf? There aren't even that many in local..what's with all the red ships? (DOH! THAT'S NO MOON!) Managed to warp to one of my old bookmarks to one of S9's POSES. Punch the GTFO button again as Mzr asks me to rep up and fight him. (Not actually having a rep on board would make that difficult) So I get out...leaving the lowsec and getting into Stacmon again. It's 3am...I had a good day...and Mzr's outside asking for a fight. Know what? I'm sure it will **** him off quite badly if I decide I've had enough for the night...so you know what...its bedtime. Tell Mzr that he's not going to be dictating any more engagements. And log. Lets see if that got his panties in a twist..Oh look! It worked :) Good fight to the mystical knighs and EMP Industries. So there I was in Amoen, part of the loop. There's a Nyx parked at one of the moons there in a POS. The POS is rather well defended, and while I ***d the position of the pos out to a few people, nobody was interested in pulling a fleet together along with a Nyx pilot. And logged in the system was a pilot from their corp, old enough to be the mom's pilot, and 'Cynoetta' (obvious cyno alt is obvious?). So I try to strike up a convo with said pilot...and the cyno alt is responding. So, either you're the cyno alt, or the pilot from the corp who owns that Nyx. (Or they're friends of yours, maybe renting the moon?) I'm going to assume for the sake of argument that its one of your alts, or one of the alts of one of the accounts I know you've got access to. The only way to win is to not play. Sure it hurts some people's sense of e-bushido, but typically the person offering the 1v1 is pretty sure they've got a decent advantage over the challenged party. (Or, that they're bored out of their gourd and are looking for a fight in a somewhat disposable ship) While on the move I run into an old friend. We were in the same corp years ago and have kept friendly. And he's spoiling for a fight. Says he's gonna bring his assault frigate by. So, might as well buy and fit something for it. Its one of the special disposable fits I used to hand out to some of the Suddenly Ninjas guys if they needed something quick'n'dirty to survive tackling a mission runner with. Crap T1 fit across the board with whatever rat loot I'd failed to reprocess from various ninja-salvage-loot operations for those who don't have the skills yet to fit T2 anything, or use medium scout drones (Or even control five if they could). And of course, lots of grid and cpu left over because new characters now a days start with really...really...junk fitting skills. I actually manage to find most everything to fit it with in an old hangar. Wonder what ships they got blown up off of. (The system in question is a rookie starter system, so it was probably someone's incursus, rifter, or punisher) Even had the monster plate available. So I arrive, and my friend politely declines to shoot at the thorax. Which is fine, probably would have done the same in his shoes. But he does bring an Omen by to play \o/. I've had canonically bad luck vs Omens. Even had a domi blown up by one (Hi Zero!) (Remember kids...don't forget to put cap boosters in the hold before going out and sitting under the gate guns. This has been a public service announcement by me for the folks who manufacture cap booster 800's) At any rate...so we have a short fight outside the newbie station, to ooohs and ahhs from the velator pilots watching. Pretty lazors lighting up the sky. Drones go flying, armor melts. My friend's omen pops...good fights are shared in local as well as banter about who was fitting what. The next morning. Waking up and shaking off the sleepies, a locator agent finds me Mzr in Intaki... Hm..not a usual location, let's go haring off that direction. And hm check the surrounding systems...in Brarel there's Mzr in a probe, and someone from Session9..one of the hauler alts if memory serves. Now what are they doing there? So, the day starts off bad, undocking into Mzr twice and engaging. And of course getting blown up. Twice. (Sure, the first one was a comedy exequeror fit...but hey...it got blowed up) Reminder to self..never let anyone goad you into a fight...friend or foe. Cause its a sucker bet unless you set it up yourself. Should have realized that before the three other losses (including a pod). The thorax and pod loss were mainly due to stupidity. 1) Never PVP near your baby's bedtime..there was a plan but getting your ass up to deal with baby often throws a wrench into it. Also, you can get podded if you are changing a diaper. 2) Dock your ass up. You might be able to run back and forth (twice) from decloak to gate, but eventually they will get enough people on one side to kill you. 3) Remind yourself why you fundamentally are a one man operation, there's a reason for that. Folks will get frustrated as you are afk/back to keyboard/afk again. That doesn't happen if you just hang with folks. So, losses for the day. 4 cruisers, one battle cruiser, and a pod. Wins for the day, none on me and I've been afk enough that I missed what the rest of the gang might have won/lost.
